Great Craic

Funky pub with great feel The bar is unique and the beer garden is very cool. The staff are welcoming and make you feel at welcome and at home.

A bit surprised to see Ma's classified as a restaurant as it doesn't really portray itself as such... it provides some food offerings but it's better known for its status as a top notch bar Located in the centre of Bantry on the old forge site, it's a deceptively large property as you walk in from the front and pass... Asked the local taxi driver for an after dinner pub recommendation and this was it. Lovely old pub with traditional layout but large smoking area/beer garden and also a separate "party hub" out the back. Great place & good friendly staff.

What a cool pub! The owner is a fantastic man who took the time to talk to us about all kinds of things. The selection of drinks is vast, the outdoor area out back is full of character. Situated in the heart of Bantry, with all kinds of cool folks. Thank you to Matt and all your friends who took... More

Central location in Bantry, very friendly staff with some great beers we hadn't tasted before (Green Bullet, Full Irish) the guiness is top notch as well. They have a separate live music room which really made our night. You might find the front bar a little narrow, but we were there early evening so it wasn't too busy. We returned... More

After dinner we went to this pub for some drinks. The pub is very small and crowded but it makes it authentic. There is also a garden. The owner is very friendly, funny and open-minded.

Everyone talks about Ma Murphy's so we thought we would check it out. The place is nice, interesting and very friendly. We were looking for live music and they had it, but it cost money to see it as they put it in a separate room. That's where the action was. The music was not to our taste so we... More

Bantry's oldest bar is a grand wee place to go for a couple of beers. Really friendly staff and lots of locals out enjoying their night out, including a drumming group! We were there on a rather "soft" evening so not able to enjoy the outside tables but sure it must be a lovely sheltered spot on a sunny day.
