This is what a pub should be! I visited for work recently with a couple of overseas journalists and they loved it too. We only had drinks, no food but would love to have stayed longer. I got to try Dingle Gin also which was delish! It's a family owned pub and their winning personalities contribute a lot to the... More

By far the best pub we visited in Bantry. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming. Great selection of drinks. There's a little old fashioned shop at the front and huge beer garden at the back.

We loved this place. Fantastic staff who were knowledgeable about craft beers and local gins. We had a great chat with all of the staff and even came back after dinner at the fish kitchen (best restaurant in bantry by far and even the locals approve of it) Stop by ma murphys you won't be disappointed

Fantastic pub for a pint, whether you want to sit and have a quiet pint or listen to the locals play music for free (they need to be paid they are so good), Ma's is the place to go! The locals suggest that you do not have the food on the menu in the pub as its not exactly a... More

Called in to Ma Murphy's and asked for the tv to be put on so we could watch the FA Cup Final - no problem. Started chatting to the barmaid and telling her that we were starving but didn't have a reservation in any of the decent restaurants. She tells us about the chippy next door and says its excellent... I loved this place. It's total grunge in the front bar. Very old style. The Beer garden in the back is lovely and relaxed. It is on the property of the old Bantry forge which has been turned into the live music venue. It is a cozy hand-crafted room with a wood stove. If you're looking for chic this isn't... More

A tiny pub, local people, good beer. What's not to love about Ma Murphy's? We enjoyed conversation with other patrons, and the bar-tender. Not fancy, but real.

This is a truly traditional Irish pub. We only had drinks, but the atmosphere, the Guiness and the conversations with the locals were great
