Went for afternoon drink and atmosphere was great. Lovely pint of Guinness and good range of craft beers. It is like stepping back in time to old Irish Pubs, when the shop was to front of bar. Well worth a visit.

This was the best pub in town. Nothing fancy in terms of decor but thats what addedd to the appeal. Everyone made us feel welcome and it was a great atmosphere.

This family owned bar has not changed much since 1952 but it is the most popular and modern bar at the same time. They carry a range of local beers and IPA's and have a beautiful beer garden and smoking room. The barlady, Mary, is one of the loveliest ladies you will find in West Cork!

We visited this establishment on Saturday night and I have to say it was just great. It's a cosy bar at the back of a shop and the proprietor went out of his way to make us feel welcome, we came home laughing. Loved the place.

A gem of a spot. Lovely welcome from Mary, and a great selection of Irish craft beers and ciders. Good music and filling pizza. A decent helping of craic was had by our bunch of ladies.

This is an old fashioned bar that reminds me of Mulligans of Poolbeg Street, in Dublin. It's the sort of spot where you are highly likely to meet some genuine characters. Locals will engage you in conversation, and won't be shy about asking you questions. There are a few good bars in town, but this is a must visit. The... More

Shop at front with bar behind the rickety swinging doors. A barman who makes everyone feel welcome and is relentless in his efforts to make you smile laugh generally feel at home. A huge selection of beverages which is somewhat unexpected given the state of the place. It's just one of those places. On a quiet night sort of a... More

Was in Ma Murphys last night for a few drink and really enjoyed it. Proper old school Irish bar with the best of all that implies. Great selection of craft beers and whiskeys. Really friendly and relaxed service. Had originally planned on just going there for a drink ... (famous last words). When we realised we were welcome to go... More
