Slightly over priced but tasty

I found the brick oven a little pricy, I've eaten here with friends quite a few times as they can cater for big groups easily. On my first visit i had sea food spaghetti which cost €18 and looked like its had chicken in it when it was placed in front of me, it was really disappointing as it only... read more

After a long day of traveling, my family took a walk from Bamtry House to the town of Bantry. We were happy to find The Brick Oven. Their pizzas were delicious and their beer menu was a treat.

Not very clean. Floor was very greasy. Got two glasses that were dirty. Food not good. Gluten free pizzas were hard. Regular pizza was incredibly greasy and not very good. Guacamole didn't taste like normal guacamole - definitely not even good processed guacamole! Quesadillas were somewhat overcooked but actually tasted ok. Wait staff were nice but needed some more help.... More

We visited this restaurant for pizza (though there were many other tasty options on the menu) on a busy Saturday night and were very pleased. The price was reasonable and the staff very obliging. We booked ahead and on a Saturday night this would definitely be a good idea as there was a queue of people waiting.

We went here on the last night of our holiday following a recommendation received from the staff at Bantry Bay Pony Trekking. We were a family group of 12 and were accommodated at short notice by very helpful and friendly staff. The service was good with a few delays on drinks but these were easily rectified. The food was tasty... More

We called in after a very long day desperate for pizza. The waiting time was 30 mins for a table but I caught sight of the pizzas and I started salivating! We couldn't wait for a table but the delightful, fiendly waitress suggested a takeaway on the bench outside which would be ready in 10 mins. We took her up... More

This place is an absolute gem. The staff are very good and the food is amazing. My son and wife shared bbq rib, pizza and garlic bread which they both absolutely loved. I had mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat followed by a scallop and monkfish gratin. Incredible. A few nights later we got a take away which was also superb.

Visited here twice while on a short visit to Bantry. Busy on both occasions, but it was obvious to us why it was busy. The food and service were top class. Look forward to a return visit some day

Great food. the seafood pasta was excellent. Service was attentive despite the place being heaving with people. We booked the first time we went, but were able to walk in with just five minutes sitting at the bar the second time.
