Fresh fish at its best

We had a delicious dinner here, the seafood was excellent. I had the most yummy calamari, really well cooked, and so tender. My husband had wild boar samosas for starters. We both had fresh hake with sweet potatoes and lots of other vegetables and garlic potatoes at the side. This was an early... read more

Dropped in early one evening and were really lucky to get the last table for two! Has the mixed fish starter for two which was just what we needed and followed. Managed a smaller main course but has no room left for a dessert! But great service and value for money. The staff were few but they were really pleasant... More

We're been to Bantry a few years back and went to O'Connors twice as we were that impressed with the food and service. We were back in Bantry lately and wanted to see if it was as good as we had remembered. And we were not disappointed. The food is a very high quality and great menu options. Staff were... More

We had a very nice meal here. Very good fish although we both felt that there was too much ' done' to the overall dishes. For example I had brill with samphire and mashed potatoes. The dish was served without the mashed potatoes - which was fine as there was a nice dish of vegetables presented- but no explanation as... More

We booked O'Connors for 8 people - booking is recommended as it's very popular. Absolutely super food and the staff are happy and cheerful. Very Well Looked After.

Very promising menu and the food tasted delicious. Friendly staff and nice interior. However the bathrooms let the place down.

All the dishes we had were excellent, I had Calamari and fisherman's basket with three types of fish. A little surprised at the amount of salt in the smoked battered haddock, not a usual thing for a Kiwi diet, apart from that it was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful in general and were to gluten free members of our... More

The evening got off to a difficult start. We had a table booked for 20:00 but on arrival the previous occupants (who had arrived 30 minutes late for their own booking) where still seated and had already been asked twice to move. We were asked if we'd have a drink and come back but with it raining cats & dogs... More

This restaurant serves by far the best food in Bantry. Fish is fantastic and fresh, mussels from the bay where excellent and if your lucky they serve fresh Bantry Bay lobster at a price of €35 a kg which is cooked to perfection. All meals are served with vegetables and fried potatoes or fries. We drank the simple table water... More

Many many years ago I ate in O'Connors, when it took the title of Best Seafood Restaurant in Ireland. It was so good in fact, I had oysters for starter and for dessert! So when I was holidaying down recently, I was excited to take my husband to the restaurant I vividly remembered as being a standout seafood experience in... More
