From the outside the place looks very cute and welcoming. When you enter you are quickly made feel you need to buy something....not a nice feeling especially when on holiday. Once you purchase then you feel totally ripped off. A very unpleasant experience in the beautiful village of Sneem.

I stood at the counter for what seemed like an eternity, with staff running around not making eye-contact. I know they were busy but a 'hello' would have been nice. The bread, scones and cake were lovely but a bit expensive

Management had no respect for their customers at all! Constantly staring at you with a deathly glare! No concept of nice service at all!! The man serving icecream was so unhygienic and unfriendly.. Also a total rip off would never go back

Just walked out of the Kellys bakery, worst experience of my Irish holiday. Staff indifferent at best, at worst rude though perhaps the older male man MAY have been hard of hearing. Beautiful food on display, but staff not helpful in dealing with change ( my mother wanted a baguette and goats cheese, both on display, but could not be... More

This is the FIRST response I have ever posted on TripAdvisor. There has been a very nasty LOCAL smear campaign against my family and myself on this website. I have tried to deal with it directly through TripAdvisor but unfortunately did not get anywhere except generic responses. We are NOT a restaurant. We are a delicatessen, bakery, and coffee shop.... I stopped in to get some lunch for our picnic at the beach. I asked for 2 baguettes with ham&cheese. One salmon sandwich & 2 slices of bread and butter for my fussy daughter. After waiting over 15 mins they were finally ready, charged 23Euro. No receipt. No prices on anything. I was disgusted with the price and the food... More

Food was of average quality but at astounding prices reflecting the fact there is little competition in the town. The older man who served us was a rude and very curt. It was interesting to read some of the quotes from residents in the square where they mentioned the need for increased tourism to the town. If you want that... More

Dropped in to Kellys on Sunday morning to have a quick coffee and a scone. Coffee was average and the scone was really good. Its not a place where you'd be tempted to linger and there wasn't much chat from any of the staff that morning. Dropped in again that evening to get some bread for our packed lunch for... More

I just fancied a pie and my wife fancied a Danish Pastry, we ordered them and were shocked when he told us the price. Can you believe it was 10 Euros. Back home it would be the equivalent of not more than 5 Euros and that is considered expensive by most people. The pie and the cake were good though... More

I go to Sneem a lot, this was my first time at Kelly's. my cell was low on juice and they said I could charge it a bit, so I took my time over lunch. I really kept an eye on things after reading the recent reviews. Everything was excellent. The staff was friendly. First - English is not their... More

Have just returned from a very enjoyable few days in Sneem. The only negative was our visit to Kelly's Bakery where we were charged €34 for a TAKEAWAY which consisted of 4 meat pies and 4 sausage rolls!!! I questioned the price and got a very rude response.I was told the pies were €6.50 each to take away. To add... More
