We requested 2 double espressos with some hot water (to add ourselves) to be told "they were Americanos". (I didn't come for a barista lesson, just 2 coffees). The owner then followed this by an insinuation that we were trying to scam them out of the difference between the two prices (25c). At this point the owners wife asked "did... More

Even if we bought food and drinks for more than 20 euros the charmless and unhygienic owner of the bakery showed an aggressive behaviour in different ways! The way he brought our orders was already quite impolite. Neither he had any official prices for the dishes. At last he was angry about our luggage but didn't answer at all, when... More

My friend and I had no issue what's so ever eating here. After a long days walk Kelly's was a most welcoming and very nice place to eat. Marginally expensive, but the pies, were worth it and quickly served with a smile. Would I eat here again, the answer is yes!

From the outside the place looks very cute and welcoming. When you enter you are quickly made feel you need to buy something....not a nice feeling especially when on holiday. Once you purchase then you feel totally ripped off. A very unpleasant experience in the beautiful village of Sneem.

I stood at the counter for what seemed like an eternity, with staff running around not making eye-contact. I know they were busy but a 'hello' would have been nice. The bread, scones and cake were lovely but a bit expensive

Management had no respect for their customers at all! Constantly staring at you with a deathly glare! No concept of nice service at all!! The man serving icecream was so unhygienic and unfriendly.. Also a total rip off would never go back

This was the low point of our tour through Ireland, the old man in this shop pulled the chair out from under my daughter as she was sitting with her mother. I assume the reason he pulled the chair out from under her was she was eating an ice cream cone from a place across the street while sitting with... More

Just walked out of the Kellys bakery, worst experience of my Irish holiday. Staff indifferent at best, at worst rude though perhaps the older male man MAY have been hard of hearing. Beautiful food on display, but staff not helpful in dealing with change ( my mother wanted a baguette and goats cheese, both on display, but could not be... More

Dan K, Owner at Kelly's Bakery, responded to this review

This is the FIRST response I have ever posted on TripAdvisor. There has been a very nasty LOCAL smear campaign against my family and myself on this website. I have tried to deal with it directly through TripAdvisor but unfortunately did not get anywhere except generic responses. We are NOT a restaurant. We are a delicatessen, bakery, and coffee shop.... I stopped in to get some lunch for our picnic at the beach. I asked for 2 baguettes with ham&cheese. One salmon sandwich & 2 slices of bread and butter for my fussy daughter. After waiting over 15 mins they were finally ready, charged 23Euro. No receipt. No prices on anything. I was disgusted with the price and the food... More
