Having started our journey early that morning we went for the early bird meal and were not disappointed. Service was good and food very good.

This looked a promising place and seemed to have a nice atmosphere on entering. It was a Friday night and seemed very crowded & busy. But it took over an hour to serve us after ordering a meal? At first this was not a problem as we drank away and chatted, but became obvious after a couple next to us... More

A great restaurant and bar that felt friendly while maintaining very high standards. The food was great - battered sole to start and an excellent battered burger - and the service very prompt and friendly. The Guinness was also perfectly poured, so not much more could have been asked! Highly recommended.

We had heard good things about Nicks and tried it by chance for the early bird offer. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent we must try it again for the full Monte with the piano playing. We would highly recommend Nicks but not during Puck Fair

We visited Nick's having been recommended it by friends. We had booked a table earlier in the evening as it was the Sunday of Puck Fair. On arrival we stood and waited for 5-10 minutes before we could see any staff! We eventually were shown to a table which had dishes from the previous sitting stacked on it and pieces... More

From the moment you walk into Nicks you immediately notice the excellent service. We were here for my fathers birthday. For starter I had the brie. This had a cranberry/raspberry sauce and the sauce was lovely with the brie. For the main course I had steak and this was very good. Had Eton mess for dessert and this had strawberry... More

Beautiful setting, excellent service. Visited this restaurant with my family for a 60th birthday. My parents have been frequenting this restaurant once a year for more than 20 years. We Had the early bird menu €28 for a 4 course meal. From start to finish it was absolutely exquisite. I could not fault the food or service and it was... More

Delicious food and quaint setting. Very busy due to the Puc fair and a bit roudy but worth a visit for the food. Staff were lovely and nothing was a bother considering how busy they were.

Service was a disaster, dirty table, had to ask three times for a high chair and menus. Finally got to order and food arrived we had no cutlery had to ask twice for them. When we got to try food it was bland and of a very poor quality. We complained and got the dishes reordered which came out no... More
