It is nice fresh seafood and so it should be in a small harbour town but the portions are very small.€12 for a small starter and average main €28 again about half the size I would have expected, the staff are nice but that should be a given in this day and age.i would think long and hard about going back... Visited Jack's on the occasion of my brothers wedding and I can honestly say it is one of the best meals I have had (and I am very discerning). I had heard all the reviews so arrived with quite high expectations which I honestly expected would not be matched. How wrong I was. It would have been very easy and... More

Had sunday lunch in jack's today and overall very disappointed having read many good reviews. Food ok as salmon and chicken overdone and plain boiled veg provided(carrots and broccoli). No napkins provided as matter of course on any table and had to be requested. Main point of dissatisfaction was staff hoovering around diners while they tried to eat. Hoovering commenced... More

Absolutely loved the feel of this place. It was so warm and welcoming and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. The salmon I had was so moist and was the best tasting salmon I have ever had. My partner had the turbot which was simply cooked but tasted delightful. The evening was made extra special by... More

Went for dinner there.great&friendly service &back ground piano music bring something special to this place.lovely views from restaurant.food is well presented but a bit expensive.the drawback is going through the bar to access restaurant so maybe a side entrance would be more appropriate&practical.

Have to say we left a little disappointed after going out of our way to visit Jacks especially for their seafood after reading reviews.. While the food is nice, it is far to rich and to fussy for seafood..If you do like rich seafood then you will most defiantly enjoy but if you prefer just au natural seafood do not... More

We have made Jacks our regular restaurant for special nights out. Once you step through the cosy, friendly old style bar where the locals congregate to chat over a few pints you know that this is some place special. You then step into the ultra modern dining room with its panoramic view over Cromane, Rossbeigh and inch. A quick glance... More

Felt very welcome on arrival, all the staff very friendly. Had an amazing view for the evening. Everything from the starter, main course and dessert was scrumptious, couldn't find a single fault. The pianist was the highlight and the house Sauvignon was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The bill was a little pricey but definitely worth it. A lovely... More
