Zest Bistro was established in May of 2010 and is part of Shannon Knights Bars which was established in 1972. Our idea behind Zest was to offer customers a relaxed casual dining experience in a visually rich environment with fantastic affordable food and excellent customer service. Head chef Clifford Ryan has but together a deliciously tempting menu to suit all tastes. Zest also offers an all-weather outdoor dining area. Zest is open daily from 10am-9pm.

Eating out with friends

Lovely staff, food and atmosphere. Very central and easy to find especially if you've just arrived into shannon airport and are looking somewhere nice to eat.

This is a great bistro and I must say some of the best mash potatoes I have ever eaten, yummy. I had roast chicken and my friend had the chicken curry, both were amazing . we also had prawns for starters and eton mess for dessert, all the food was superb and my glass of red wine was very tasty.... Staying at Shannon Airport for one night, we decided to take the bus in to Shannon Town and nearly missed this gem of a place as it was hidden at the back of a shopping mall. The bright, clean, modern decor made the restaurant more inviting than any of the other choices nearby and we were greeted with a friendly... More

This lovely modern restaurant was very close to where we were staying so that is why we chose it, along with the recommendation of our host, who was dining there herself with family. The service was great and friendly and the food was excellent. We had eaten in so many quaint places that this was a big switch but a... More

We went there based on previous reviews. The food was bland at best, service was very slow even though it was quiet. had to ask for water three times. Pasta carbonara was just pasta with cream, no attempt at any kind of flavour. Horrid.

We stayed at the Park Hill in Shannon airport and we're not really planning to go to Shannon town but changed our minds. It's a short taxi ride. There isn't a lot to Shannon but there was enough to distract us for a few hours and we popped into Zest Bistro for lunch. It's obviously popular with locals and we... More

10 minute walk away from the Airport Manor B&B. Situated at the back of the Shannon Knights pub (which wasn't my cup of tea). However restaurant totally separate. Really good food and friendly service at a reasonable price.

Ate here with three other people, we all had different dishes and we all loved what we got. I had banoffee pie for dessert, it was delicious and really nicely presented. The staff were very good, efficient and helpful. Toilets were spotless and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We visited on the day of an airshow, and all the staff were dressed up as pilots, air hostesses etc., making it a fun visit. Food was good, quite quick, and reasonably priced.
