We ate with friends who live locally and rate this as one of the best places currently to eat in the Clifden area, and were so impressed we went again. The early bird menu is really good value. All tastes catered for - excellent seafood and locally sourced eat. Service is polite and efficient - we particularly liked the unobtrusive... More

The ambiance was very good and the meal really very well cooked and presented. Mussel starter with rack of lamb as a main. The whole meal was excellent.

We go here almost every time we go to Clifden. Fish specials are excellent, and food is always great! Service can be a little slow, but worth it for the excellent food.

My partner and I went to have dinner one night, it would be nice to have the same waiter/waitress all along the dinner instead of having one person taking order, another person bringing plate and another person for order and again and again the same. Overall food was good I had the duck but My partner didn't like the lamb.

Part of Foyles Hotel Marconi's offers comfortable unhurried dining, friendly and obliging staff, a great menu with well cooked and presented food. Malarky's bar off the dining room offers a wide range of drinks to finish the evening. Great

We went as a party of 5 without booking and were made to feel very welcome. The food was of an excellent standard. My only criticism is that we chose options from the entree menu as there was more vegetarian there, however as a table of 5 we had the same amount of vegetables brought out as the table next... More

The dining experience here compared to Mitchell's couldn't be more different, and in a good way. Although rather old fashioned in appearance, the restaurant is roomy with a relaxed atmosphere and there are a number of smartly dressed polite and attentive waitress's on hand. Proper place settings (with fish knives) and cloth napkins provided a sense that the folks at... More

A busy Friday evening and the hotel/restaurant was very busy but we were welcomed ,seated and waited no time for menus and refreshments, A varied menu including local fish and meat specialities. The sole was excellent as was the lamb. An interesting good value wine list too Would highly recommend for that special holiday dinner

We were a family group of nine booked in for 18.30 after a trip to Kylemore Abbey. The afternoon had brought a terrific lightning storm which blew the electricity in Kylemore and when we arrived in Clifden we discovered the blackout had extended that far west. Outside Foyles Hotel (where Marconi's Restaurant is located), they were already on the case... More

We had a family dinner at The Marconi loved the whole experience. It is part of an old quaint hotel with great staff. The food for me was the star of the show, first the complimentary artisan bread full of taste, then on to the mussels wow, shank of lamb happy days. It is an old building with a charm... More
