Walking around both Galway and Clifden on a sunny summer Saturday afternoon and evening leaves one in little doubt about these town's respected ability to win the hearts and minds of many tourists visiting Ireland these last few years. A sheer joy to witness the buzz about the place generally. On Saturday evening, there were as many French ascents around... More

We had an early evening meal here on a Thursday night. The service was good. The chicken dish on special was very good. They had a range of craft beers on offer.

We had our best meal in Ireland when we dined here 2 years ago. We just returned from a trip to Ireland and dined there again. The meal was good but not as good as two years ago. But with that being said, still a good meal.

Casual and family friendly restaurant. My husband and I are had the chicken sandwich and hamburger, the price was very reasonable (10 euros each) and the portion was very big. I have to say it is the best chicken burger I've had anywhere in Ireland - good sized bun, perfectly cooked meat, right toppings. Plus the staff were helpful and... More

We were looking for average food at an average price in a relaxed environment. The food was fine, worth the money but not mind blowing. My only real issue is that everything took ages. We sat for about 10 minutes before getting menus, and we sat another 20 mins looking at our empty plates before seeing anyone since we got... More

The restaurant might not look too fancy, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent and the food was very delicious. Don't judge a book by its covers!

We had lunch here on 9th April. Nothing spectacular, and settled on the daily special, which was beer battered fish and chips. The fish was fresh, and was just about cooked. Frozen chips are frozen chips, and a handful of rocket leaves and red onion rings stacked 3 inches high on the side of the plate will never pass for... More

I had the chowder with sandwich option here and it was packed with fish a real meal in itself. Not overly impressed with the atmosphere and the coffee was terrible! but I would try it again for a main.

Comes to something when a fish dish is more expensive in Clifden than in Paris or London. Outdated and the house wine was undrinkable. What a shame but generally Clifden could do with an uplift in good places to eat.
