Soup and Chowder

Nice lunch here for soup and chowder This is basically a gastro pub. Don't expect to watch a hurling or football game on the tv - which is fine. Not every pub has to do that. The soup was nice. Guinness was well served and tasty too. My soup was tasty, with brown bread. Girlfriend had the... read more

I had dinner here recently with my husband and teenage son. Very pleasant manager was dealing well with demand for tables. Extensive choice on menu - we had spring rolls, chicken wings, tempura prawns, ribs and the house burger. All were really well presented and very tasty, big step up from regular bar food. Table and bar service excellent. Couldn't... More

My wife and I had a few drinks and lunch in Guys Bar Clifden recently. The menu offered a nice variety and the food was good, tasty and good value. We would recommend Guys Bar for a few scoops and a bite to eat when in Clifden

Friendly and welcoming staff, food is tasty and fresh. Try seafood chowder - no disappointment! Looks just like a pub but they really put heart into their cooking.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant, and enjoyed the live music. The food was delicious and fresh. I had the crab and prawn salad that was light and wonderful, and my husband had the fish pie, which he also enjoyed. The service, particularly the bartender, was excellent.

Crowded place but this does not go at the cost of attention of staff and quality of food. This is a no nonse place that gives good value for money and makes you feel at home instantly. Live Irish music made the experience complete!

This is a lovely family friendly restaurant. We arrived on a very wet evening and were given a very warm welcome. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly. Looked up trip advisor to find somewhere for tea and Guys had good reviews and boy were they right. Beef stir fry and the soup of the day so tasty. Would definitely recommend this place.
