Perfect atmosphere

Loved this restaurant. Nice contemporary atmosphere and good food. On Main Street with parking out front. Recommended by my B and B. It was perfect as I was travelling alone, yet felt perfectly comfortable here.

My family had both lunch and dinner here while staying in Clifden. It's a great little place to eat and have a drink. Food is reasonably priced and they do some Irish classics well. Plenty of options to choose from at the bar and the staff were great. The kids hd their own menu and the live music from 7pm... More

Had delicious prawn and crab meat salad after trek up nearby diamond hill. On the more expensive side (13 euro for salad) but fish was extremely fresh and I was brought a basket of baked that day brown bread. Craft beers lovely and staff super friendly. Would recommend to anyone stopping by or staying in clifden.

Great food and service. The menu selections were excellent and the food quality was outstanding- local mussels, fish, salad greens. They offer very nice wines and beers and the local music really topped off the night. This was an unexpected pleasure--a casual restaurant with exceptional food and service. The ambiance was perfect and the staff was personable and knowledgeable .

Had lunch in this very friendly, comfortable bar. My partner had a mountain of mussels, succulent, plump and delicious, though it proved too much for her in the end despite her best efforts. I had the chowder which was good and tasty but the fish was all mashed up and I personally prefer chunks of fish in chowder. It was... More

We liked all of it. The pub is very cosy. The food is excellent. The staff were all very friendly and work very hard. The band playing Irish music was a wonderful background though not intrusive There was nothing to dislike.

The Guiness Beef Stew was okay but I have had better in Dublin as the flavour was good but not memorable. Since there is such a great selection of restaurants in Clifden I will try the others.

We stayed in Clifden for four nights and were lucky enough to get a table in the 'snug' at Guy's on our last night. We all ordered different plates from mussels to steak. Portions were generous and the food was unpretentious and good quality and excellent value. The atmosphere was buzzing and the experience of good food in a friendly... More
