Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare Village, Co. Limerick is a fine traditional bar with a great reputation for providing some of the best hospitality around. Our recently refurbished bar is an excellent place to watch our local Adare GAA heroes and all the other major sporting events live on our LCD High Definition TVs. Our live weekly traditional music sessions are famous and bring a wealth of musicians and music lovers through our doors. Our kitchen serves delicious traditional fare every day and customers keep coming back to us for a bite to eat or simply relax with a pint or glass of their favourite tipple. We have a truly superior beer garden which is the envy of every pub in the county; we just wish we could 'serve up' good weather for our customers to relax in it on those soft Irish summer days and not need one of our waterproof parasols. Our beer garden also has state of the art BBQ facilities and is a favourite with locals and visitors who like to dine and entertain al fresco whatever the occasion. Good quality service, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about and we think we deliver, in spades! Awarded the Prestigious Licensing World Country Bar of the Year 2010!

Another fine pub in the Adare area. Beer was cold and fresh and the food was very good. Our group enjoyed, Fish & Chips, Seafood Chowder, Soup and Irish brown bread, and Irish stew. The service was good and fast and we sat and talked and just enjoyed the stove helping to ward off the evening chill. No rush to... More

Everyone I met at Bill Chawke's was welcoming and Kind. I loved listening to the musical trio playing Traditional Irish music and I'm so glad I had a chance to talk with Gerry and Bart (two of the musicians). I felt right at home with everyone there and I can't wait to go back for another visit!

Loved Bill Chawke's Bar. We were told about it from friends who visited two years ago. It's an easy walk into the small town from the Manor House and a beautiful walk. We ventured in for a last pint--stayed for three and enjoyed the terrific Irish music for a few hours. It's warm, friendly and a great stop.

Stopped at this pub twice while staying in Adare. Very good pub food, great traditional Irish music and a friendly, professional staff who remembered us on our second visit four days after the first. Will be our first pub stop when we return to Adare!

A lovely spacious bar, with comfortable sets, excellent staff and great atmosphere. Spotless toilets, both ladies and gents. The trad/ folk musicians that were playing the night we visited were excellent also.

The first night we went in we enjoyed dinner and had a drink. It seemed to be a pretty slow evening which was nice. The next night we went back they had live music which was awesome. Just had drinks, relaxed and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. The Pub keeper was very friendly and introduced my daughter to her first Irish... More
