Description: Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare...
Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare Village, Co. Limerick is a fine traditional bar with a great reputation for providing some of the best hospitality around. Our recently refurbished bar is an excellent place to watch our local Adare GAA heroes and all the other major sporting events live on our LCD High Definition TVs. Our live weekly traditional music sessions are famous and bring a wealth of musicians and music lovers through our doors. Our kitchen serves delicious traditional fare every day and customers keep coming back to us for a bite to eat or simply relax with a pint or glass of their favourite tipple. We have a truly superior beer garden which is the envy of every pub in the county; we just wish we could 'serve up' good weather for our customers to relax in it on those soft Irish summer days and not need one of our waterproof parasols. Our beer garden also has state of the art BBQ facilities and is a favourite with locals and visitors who like to dine and entertain al fresco whatever the occasion. Good quality service, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about and we think we deliver, in spades! Awarded the Prestigious Licensing World Country Bar of the Year 2010!

A perfect place to break the journey between Limerick & Kerry

Bill Chawke's Bar in Adare is on the left as you drive from Limerick to Kerry. At the very top of the main street, the road veers left and Bill Chawke's is on the left. It is a large pub, almost too big to be cosy but that is deceiving as it is the cosiest bar to be in on... read more

Stopped in for lunch. Had the soup of the day, vegetable, which was very good. However, the special of the day, beef casserole, was superb. We even ordered an additional order to take home. There weren't a lot of people in the pub and we had a nice table by a cozy fire. Food excellent, service good, a nice place... More

Recently tried the new addition to the menu in Bill Chawke Bar. "Irish Stew " I have to say it was the best Irish stew that I've had in the village. Plenty of everything , meat, veg, potatoes. Really liked the infusion of fresh herbs. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommended.

Went to this pub after dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the live Tuesday traditional music. Favorite pub I went to in Adare.

Great food, great drinks and entertainment! The waitress/bartender was very helpful, and incredibly friendly. The live performers interacted with the patrons between songs... coming over to talk directly to us about our time in Adare. Could not recommend it more!

We didn't eat at this establishment but did have after dinner drinks here. Great atmosphere, loved the selection of beers. Shane, the bartender, was great sport in having his picture taken with four 65 year old women. Great pub, close to Adare Villas, where we stayed.
