Description: Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare Village, Co. Limerick is a fine traditional bar with a great reputation for providing some of the best hospitality around. Our recently refurbished bar is an excellent place to watch our local Adare GAA heroes and all the other major sporting events live on our LCD High Definition TVs. Our live weekly traditional music sessions are famous and bring a wealth of musicians and music lovers through our doors. Our kitchen serves delicious traditional fare every day and customers keep coming back to us for a bite to eat or simply relax with a pint or glass of their favourite tipple. We have a truly superior beer garden which is the envy of every pub in the county; we just wish we could 'serve up' good weather for our customers to relax in it on those soft Irish summer days and not need one of our waterproof parasols. Our beer garden also has state of the art BBQ facilities and is a favourite with locals and visitors who like to dine and entertain al fresco whatever the occasion. Good quality service, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about and we think we deliver, in spades! Awarded the Prestigious Licensing World Country Bar of the Year 2010!

What can one say about the first pub they visit in the Irish country side, after an (what felt like) eternity on an airplane, and a 2 hour drive on the wrong side of the road? Is this review slightly biased? Did I see the world though jetlagged eyes? Yes absolutely, but who the hell cares; Bill hooked me up... More

We took my whole family here on the first night traveling into Ireland and everyone had a blast. The owners were great and the staff took good care of us. Everyone had fun singing along with the music and playing pool.

Hands down, this place has the best burger I've ever had. My friend and I visited Bill Chawke's three or four times in our week in Adare - we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and people that much! Paddy, our server/bartender was pretty awesome and helpful to us, and he makes a delicious Irish coffee! There's a band that plays live... More

Husband, daughter and I stopped off in beautiful Adare for a late breakfast and chose Bill Chawke's as it looked very smart from the outside. What a lucky find! The young barman was so welcoming and pleasant. The place was noticeably very clean (even the table top) and well maintained with a relaxing and traditional decor. The pub area led... More

This pub had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There is a pool table available as well as an outdoor beer garden in the rear. The evening that we were there, live Irish music was playing which certainly enhanced the atmosphere. This is what an Irish pub should be about.

We really enjoyed our short visit here. It is as good as it was at our last visit twelve years ago. The Guinness is well looked after and poured.

Stopped off in Adare for a quick bite to eat and didn't want to leave. The staff in Chawkes were superb, made us feel very welcome and the service was fantastic. We really enjoyed our food, a good selection to suit our group. We enjoyed the ambiance so much we stayed for a few drinks, we will definitely be back.

Looking for some pub food- nothing fancy, but what we found was amazing. The food was good, but the music that started at 9 was fantastic! Local musicians playing folk music . Started with two guys and ended with five guys. They were just enjoying a pint and playing their tunes. Recommend you go about eight to get a sandwich... More

Don't think that attitude is acceptable for someone dealing with the public. Some people training skills badly needed !!!!
