One overnight stay as attending a wedding so can only advise on the bed and breakfast. Large bedroom in the old part of the building was fine. Décor amplified the era with a grand, waste high double bed, canopy style which provides fun and laughter for those with partners of smaller stature attempting to get into the bed. Very comfortable... More

We had dinner here and were very disappointed. The hotel is wonderful, but the restaurant needs help. The meal started with a kind of baked pizza roll instead of bread. These had clearly been made several days earlier and were completely dried out by the time they made their way to our table. They are also an odd substitute for... More

The Dunraven restaurant was able to seat us with 5 adults + 1 child on short notice. Food was good. We were with some vegetarian friends, for them the choice was not great. I liked that they had a kids menu, but they did not have anything for the kid to entertain, e.g. crayons and a picture to draw.

We ate in the Mague Restaurant at this hotel. We came late, but they seated us anyhow for breakfast. Unfortunately, because of time we could only have the breakfast buffet. We had a table by the window with a flower box filled with geraniums outside-lovely!

Eat here recently and enjoyed the food. Smoked haddock fish cakes @ €7.50 and a smoked salmon plate with Brown bread @ €9.50 were very nice but a small glass of red house wine @ €7.50 really was overpriced even for this'luxurious up market' venue. Service was good but maybe a bit over enthusiastic or else they thought we might... More

I ordered the hake which was €14.50 and when the food arrived I was shocked. It was the tiniest most miserable portion I think I have ever received in a restaurant. At first I assumed there was more to come, perhaps in the shape of a side serving of potatoes/vegetables. However the miserable portion sitting in front of me was... More

I stopped here in the way back from kenmare for a light lunch. The hotel itself seems nice - very quaint. I went to the bar area and got a menu. The menu is very limited - no paninis or toasted sandwiches. I ordered the pastrami sandwich on homemade brown bread. The "sandwich" arrived and the presentation was dire. It... More
