Great food busy at dinner time.

After a long day went here for dinner on recommendation of Lurriga lodge owner. Athmosphere was great and Guinness was good. Fish and chips was a meal to behold and hard to finish as portion was large but I got through it. Food took a while due to busy pub but was worth waiting for. I will be back.

We stop here twice a year on our way to Rally in Killarney, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Goats cheese starter, steak & home made chips and rhubarb tart are all great value for money, freshly prepared and Sean is a great host. Stayed in the B&B upstairs on one occasion - its comfortable and clean.

Lovely surroundings, great service, good selection on the menu.... But my meal was very mediocre. I went for the prawn curry - which consisted of white rice, frozen prawns and chip shop curry sauce... The combination of this type of sauce with the prawns did not work and the spice drowned out any flavour in the prawns. The meal was... More

The only place we visited twice. Sunday evening was crowded with lots of locals adding to the flavor of the place. Service was great and food equally good. We returned on a Tuesday evening and the place was less busy. The young female server was quite pleasant and talked with us at length.

We ate dinner hear and thoroughly enjoyed the food! Three in our group had the Irish Stew and it was excellent! The service was really friendly...they did a great job of finding us a table on an extremely busy evening...and they let us keep our table all night when the music started! There were three gentlemen that played traditional Irish... More

Stopped here for lunch with wife and kids - staff were nice& friendly - I had a Guinness and Irish Stew which was nice. The wife had the pesto pasta which wasn't great literally some pesto drizzled over some overcooked pasta. The kids menu is the usual nuggets and chips stuff but they seemed to like it. My advice -... The food was high quality bar food with choices including steaks, fish and lighter choices. The service was very friendly and pleasant. Overall, a great price/quality ration and pleasant experience.

Maybe I visited on an off day, but I wasn't overly impressed with this place and I'm not an overly demanding and fussy dining patron. Food is certainly not bad, but I struggle to see how this is this highest rated restaurant in Adare. Service was average and the food was slow to come out even though the restaurant was... More

My wife and I took a trio to Ireland for our 25th anniversary. We stopped in on our first day and had a great authentic Irish meal. The owner stopped by to say hello and shared some local history with us. the food was awesome and we felt so welcome. We stopped in each day mostly for fellowship but also... More
