very much caters to tourists, especially American. But the owner took time to visit with us and made us feel welcomed and very much at home. They have traditional music every night, but the evening we were there they did not have traditional instruments - save for the squeeze box.

Would like to say that when we were passing through Adare in the summer time with my husband and two children, we popped into this pub not knowing what to expect, but to our delight we had the best meal ever. The man who runs the pub was very friendly and the hospitality was fantastic, just want to say a... More

Recently stayed in Adare over Thanksgiving. Ventured to this great pub half way thru our visit and kept going back. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty. Sean Collins and Sean Kelly were so kind to explain hurling and Gaelic football to our children...they even signed their hurling bats. Great place to grab a pint,... More

This was our second pub stop in the village of Adare having tried another the night before. All of the pubs offer much of the same, but Sean Collins was very nice because traveling in November it was less crowded which was nice as we sat by the peat stove and enjoyed fish and chips and cold fresh Guinness. Our... More

Happened to be in beautiful adare today and after a lovely walk along the river we went for some lunch to sean collins bar. I had a yummy wrap beside a warm fire. My companion had irish stew which he was very happy with. A fine spot. Will call again.

Another good pub. Again, staff was friendly, food very good, prices reasonable and within walking distance of the manor.

Casual family atmosphere, good pub food and beer, great traditional Irish music. Service was very friendly, everyone seemed happy. We were there on a Friday night. Music was strictly instrumental - no singing - which was a surprise; musicians were quite skilled.

The idea of going to a foreign country is to try new things. My friend and I discovered Sean Collins & Sons Bar while walking up the street one afternoon in Adare. We went that evening for Irish music, and the owner, Sean Collins himself, greeted us and told us to have a seat right in front of the band.... More
