Most enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I brought my family here on a Monday night and we were lucky to get a table, the place was jammed with people sitting and getting takeouts. It was my kids first time trying Indian food at a restaurant and it took a lot of convincing to get them to come... read more

The food is really good, I went there with my friend and my sister, we had korma with lamb, there were many spices in it, and superb! I really enjoyed eating it, I've never eaten korma that delicious. We all had the early bird menu, which was very cheap, we had korma, white rice and some coffee, it cost us... More

Visited for dinner and discovered that generic onion gravy is used as base for all curries. Biryani was old and tired. Freshly made roti was good. If you are travelling to Cork, eat at Lal Quila in Douglas Village. Indian food cooked by Pakistani chefs. Food cooked fresh to order. You will not be disappointed.

What a rip off!! Take away for 4 people came to €60! Food was average, and portion sizes could of been better for that price. The worst thing was the surly waitress who we dealt with, she was borderline rude. We asked her instead of the boiled rice/pileau that came with the meal could we get egg fried rice with... More

We had a meal deal and it was really nice. An entire meal with coffee/ tea/ ice-cream afterwards only cost us €13.50 each. The rice was really good and the sauce was delicious. Nice waiter, good food and not expensive. Loved it!

It had been 3 days since our last Indian food and we decided it was time. It was funny, but I had seen two shows on TV mentioning Balti. It was introduced to England by Pakistani immigrants in the 50's. We had just never heard of it before or didn't realize what it was. So, we just had to try... More

...and Cobra is no exception! The food is OK, I mean, it doesn't taste horrible, but it certainly is boring in contrast with the real flavours of India. It's a shame that it seems like they making everything less fragant, spicy and flavourful in order to carter to the Irish taste. We had aloo tikki to start, which was a... More

On our 4th nigh in Kinsale we decided on Indian food. Marti ordered Lamb Rezi and I had another lamb dish. Both of the meals were very good and were served with Rice and Nans. I had a glass of wine with the meal. The restaurant is decorated in typical indian fashion. The service was good and we enjoyed the... More

We ordered a takeaway. It was all very tasty. Only complaint was that the keema madras was far spicier than when we order it elsewhere although that wouldn't stop us from eating here again.

Having lived in India previously & being a total curry addict as well as having had 2 weeks of traditional Irish fare we were quite desperate for some curry so stopped off at Cobra. Large expansive menu featuring all the old favourites at OK prices but had the feeling the food was perhaps pre cooked in advance then just heated... More
