This place is great for Lunch or early Supper. It can get a little loud in there which is something I don't like. I like quiet places.

A real west cork gem, the summer menu would be hard to beat! The winter menu is perfect on a cold winters day... Miss it at your peril! Good food, drink and Craic.. Music some nights and the back bar perfect for watching that all important sporting event.. Highly recommended!

Warm and inviting pub with friendly barman, 3 very satisfied with their choices (the ribs, in particular, were great) and 1 unhappy - the warm black pudding salad.....thin slices that had been overcooked. Decent prices.

My husband and I ate here after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Himself had the fish and chips which was mostly a plate of overdone, burnt batter, very little fish. I had the steak sandwich which I'd say was just on it's "use by date" and did not smell great. The tables were grubby and the whole place was dingy... More

The also had a friendly warm atmosphere and knowledgeable local bar staff who were able to recommend local attractions for us to visit.... More

When we reviewed trip advisor to see where to eat in Clonakilty we found good comments about the Phoenix Bar & Bistro and that set the standard. On arrival the Bar looked ok there were a number of people in the bar always a good sign. We ordered our food and when it aRrived we were disappointed the waiter told... More

I have eaten at The Phoenix many times - the food is excellent, wonderful quality, and best prices of nearly anywhere I've ever been. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. The food is the best bit though - wonderful menu catering for all sorts of tastes, and the portion sizes are nearly too... More
