Was lucky enough to dine agAin in Sage last night., we got the train from the city, such is the lure of this top quality restaurant.. We shared the tasting platter and every piece on it was beyond perfection.. Unusually for us we both selected the same main course, normally we get a different one each so we can each... More

We visited (2adults &1 child) this restaurant on Thursday last. We were very impressed by the quality, flavours and presentation of the food. It was excellent. There didn't appear to be many waiting staff yet the service was very good. Our starters were served very promptly and our son received his main course at this time also. The highlight of the... Looks great and is quite small but the locally sourced produce and menu looked great when we sat down. My wife had the chicken sandwich but unfortunately there was a hair and some gristle on the meat. But for me this makes a good restaurant/cafe the waitress apologised and asked if I wanted something instead, my wife opted for the... More

Sage is a small restaurant hidden away off the Main Street in Midleton. The menu is small but changes regularly. The food is impeccably presented and bursting with flavour AND all sourced locally to Midleton thus keeping local growers in business and reducing the restaurants carbon footprint. It's usually quite busy so booking in advance is a good idea. They... More

The food in this restaurant is beyond words. I have been going to this restaurant since it first opened and people think I must have shares in the place as I rave about it so much. Sadly I don't, I am not even on first name basis but I don't mind. Two things I love about this restaurant is that... More

Upon arriving the restaurant seemed very dull and dark, not a great first impression, The staff also did not present a great impression, giving off an air of cockiness, presenting us with nothing but a mumbled greeting and filthy looks on arrival, seeming as if they seemed put out by serving us The menu was a very "different" kind of... Had an evening meal in Sage which we enjoyed although the kids were quite limited in their choice, which disappointed our 7 year old son who enjoys trying different foods! Nice setting but no obvious location, as we only found it after receiving a recommendation from someone.
