Exciting food beautifully cooked!

On a recent business visit to Cork I was recommended to go to Sage which is tucked away down a lovely old alley off Main Street, Midleton which is 22kms east of Cork city. There is a very nice ambiance - all decorated in sage-green and cream, antique style, mahogany dining tables with vintage style... read more

We've just spent 2 weeks eating our way through England, Scotland and Ireland and this is hands down the best dining experience we had - I can't recommend it enough. Everything comes from within 12 miles and you can taste the difference. The cuisine is truly exceptional - amongst the best I've had in my lifetime. The 12 mile tasting... More

I went to Sage for the first time on Saturday having heard really good things about it and it lived up to the hype and more. Firstly, they really do a great job supporting local farmers and suppliers and you can just taste the quality in each mouthful of delicious food. There were 3 of us in for an early... More

One of my favourites in east cork. The service is top class, the food is fantastic and it is great value. I had the cod last night and it was delicious. Even though it was a Saturday night it felt very relaxed and they were in no rush to get us out which I loved.

The food here is brilliant, you would have to be very very picky to find any fault, the beef is amazing and the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake is worth going for on its own

We had the most wonderful food with unobtrusive first class service. It was a menu that had something for everyone and each of the four of us had something different. A really lovely variety of local produce full of great taste. Not expensive either. We will be back. Don't leave East Cork without a visit.

If you want a nice night with a bit of class well this is the venue. The ambience is perfect, with a fabulous wine bar adjacent. You just couldn't fault the food or the wide variety on the menu. The service is top class and the price though not cheep always reflects on a very enjoyable experience.

Was here on Tuesday night with 8 others inc kids. Great menu I had hake which was really nice the other adults went for brisket beef they said it was delicious, I found my black pudding a bit of a let down as you only get one piece, it was ok. My wife had fabulous smoked salmon. Very nice but... More

As a party of three we found the large resteraunt space relaxing. Service was great even when I changed my mind - twice. I went for scallops. I got a very generous portion of twelve scallops with shitake mushrooms, cleeriac sauce and bacon. Just amazingly cooked. My partner had the best traditional fish and chip 'in ireland.' My other party... More

I'm from Midleton but live abroad. Every time I'm home I love to go to sage. Without a doubt the best restaurant in town. Love the green room it's a room just off the main restaurant. They use great local produce in both areas and put everything together beautifully. I had breakfast in the green room during the week Eggs... More
