Cork is renowned for its culinary quality and Sage in Midleton enhances this accolade in its own special way. They locally source quality food products and present it with flavours you'd believe weren't possible. This small restaurant punches above its weight and in this writers opinion on this s occasion would compete with Michelin star. The atmosphere was buzzing with... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by Darina Allen while on a cookery course in ballymaloe cookery school. And it didn't disappoint ! The staff were friendly and held a table for my husband and I as it was very busy when we arrived on spec. All local produce and seasonal vegetables were delightfully assembled to give us a fantastic... More

Having been recommended this place by Darina Allen at the previous day at the cookery school we decided to take a visit. Busy lunch service with people being turn away! The food was simply amazing, flavourful, fresh and local. I would return to Midleton to eat here again.

The place is well worth the short trip out of Cork city. The food is delicious and nearly all of it comes from farms within 12 miles of the restaurant (though maybe only during summer). The food was beautifully presented and despite being on the gourmet side of things (amazing textures & divine flavour combinations) the serves are hearty &... More

Quite a nice relaxing yet stylish environment. Went on a Wednesday where the food was cheaper during early evening I think. The quality of food is like nothing I had experienced before. Honestly the nicest place I have eaten. Would highly recommend going.

I could rave about this place all day long. What an awesome restaurant! Fantastic food! Have been here on numerous occasions and have not been disappointed once. I adore their 12 Mile concept - they use locally sourced food. In famous words, I'll be back.

A group of 3 of us went for dinner here just before Christmas. The first impression wasn't the greatest as the table wasn't ready and we were asked to sit in another room where there wasn't space available for us. Other than that minor incident this was the best dining experience I have had in Cork. Every single course stood... More

We booked an early sitting on new years eve. Though we have been to Sage and it's sister cafe The Green Room many times our expectations on new years eve with a set menu were ... basic. I should clarify that this was based on our past experience at other quality restaurants on new years eve. We both had the... More
