We had no booking made but when we arrived we were fitted in promptly. Our starter black pudding was delicious, and the hake that followed truly delicious. We absolutely loved this restaurant and will be back

I had heard a lot about this restaurant over the last few years - how wonderful the food is, about all the awards it has won and about their 10 mile radius ethos for sourcing their food products. All good! I was invited to eat with a group of friends there on Saturday and was relishing the thought of having... More

This place has magnificent food and a pleasant ambiance; I'd give it 5 stars but the music was way too loud & we had to ask twice for it to be turned down. That said; service was excellent and the pigs cheeks and gnocchi an absolute joy. The craft lager available was enticing but we opted for the local ciders... More

Utterly FANTASTIC from the service to the food to waitress. What more can I say????? Th e staff were brilliant, the ambience was lovely, the food to die for. They go to great lengths to source local produce, the craft beer on offer is a real treat. We were not rushed from our table at all. I can not find... More

We had a reservation here on a Saturday night, and were not seated until 20 minutes after our arrival. This was ok, as we understand when a restaurant is busy. Once seated it then took another 20 minutes before anyone came near us to order a drink and our meals. There were numerous staff buzzing about wiping tables, chatting to... More

What a fantastic restaurant. Service, choices, presentation, quality of food. There is not one single thing that I could fault about this restaurant. We didn't have starters but I got the fillet steak and it was probably one of the nicest pieces of steak I've ever eaten, lick your lips quality! My friends had fish dishes which they loved. We... Eaten here several times. Food is always good and the service is great. No rushing. Last visit on a Wed evening for a business meal out. Place was packed which is a feat in itself. Plan to return.

I love going back to Sage, normally it's the only place my Wife and I will go if we get a rare night out. This time, it was myself, 3 kids ages 7, 4 and 2, and my parents. I was the only person who'd eaten there before and everyone with me could be described as a fussy eater! Kids... More
