This restaurant is a delight! Carefully sourced local ingredients are skillfully prepared and beautifully presented. The smoked salmon was heaven and the brisket out of this world. Dinner tonight in Sage was simply stunning and such care and pride in the food and the ingredients. My dessert was a sublime cheesecake - best I've had in years and the mint creme brulee ordered by the others was a winner. I won't even try to describe the chocolate brick. If it's on the menu when you go there... More

Food was excellent and enough. Very nice place, cozy and comfortable. The menu has few items and they are well explained. Not over complicated things and very tasty and fresh. Fish was amazing, soup of the day delicious. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. 23 each for 2 course menu. If you consider that the food is... More

While staying in Ballycotton for a weekend, we booked Sage in Midleton for Dinner on Saturday night. The Staff and service were excellent. Both our meals, from starters through to desserts were of exceptional quality. Having recently eaten in some lovely restaurants in Kinsale, Sage surpassed all expectations. It is owned and run by a lovely couple - chef owner... More

Have been twice with my wife in the space of a year. The first time it blew me away with the freshness not only of its approach but also with the flavours of every mouthful. The menu is interesting and innovative (they enact the concept of 12-mile food where all the main ingredients are sourced from the locality ), they... More

I visited Sage in June with friends. It was top quality food and excellent service. It's one of those restaurants no matter how full you are you have to have desert because the starter and main course were so good. The rhubarb creme brûlée was delicious as was the rest of the meal. I would highly recommend a visit to... More

My wife and I ate here one evening on a trip to Cork. The restaurant is off the main street and very central. We had asked our hotel for a recommendation of a good restaurant and were advised to try Sage with two alternatives if we couldn't get in. We arrived early and there were only a few there before... We dined here on a recent trip to Midleton and were most impressed with this restaurant. We loved the concept of sourcing the food from within a 12 mile radius of the eatery. The relaxed atmosphere matches the contemporary look of Sage and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We had the set menu, which is great value. Our starters... More

Excellent, locally sourced produce. There were a large group of us, 10 in total, with two toddlers. The staff were very accommodating and the food was great.

We went to Sage at 6pm this evening, having booked a table (just as well, as it was very busy when we were leaving). We ate from the early bird menu, which provided excellent choice and value. The children's menu for our 12 & 9 years olds was also excellent, real food made from similar fresh ingredients. We were delighted... More
