We had lunch on a Monday. It was not very crowded. We have taken a fish & chips, a grilled chicken wrap and a delicious soup of the day. Simple but really good and fresh ! It is a good value for the money. Unfortunately the drinks remain expensive especially for beer and wine glasses. (From 6 euros).

Gibneys is a real pub with all that has to offer but it also does food which is not that well know and should be as their breakfasts are huge and delicious so suggest you visit when next I nMalahide.

Didn't eat at Gibneys but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the Guinness. One lunch we spent in the small bar next the the bookies and soaked up the old Irish bar vibe where in the evening in the main bar it was banging everyone having a great time.

The beer is cold and plentiful. This is a good Irish pub and the locals flock as well as tourist. It gets a bit rowdy on the weekends, but really just makes for an entertaining time. There is a nice patio out back if the weather permits.

Four of us opted for the steak options; two fillets and two rib eyes; the first two, medium rare, one of the rib eyes, rare, the other, medium. We gave our orders with care and watched the bartender put the order, with the cooking options, into the computer. Unfortunately, the four steaks were delivered with a consistent 'medium' cooking, overcooked... More

Who says there's a recession in Ireland? Well not the weekend my friends and I spent in Malahide! No matter what time or day of the week we entered this very friendly hostelry, there always seemed to be a very pleasant vibe from the ICWA ladies who lunched to tourists just resting their weary feet. The food was fabulous and... More

From the outset, there is need to put this review into perspective as Gibney's is a bar first and foremost. but serves wonderful wholesome food, which is great value. Sport plays a significant part and in addition to the many screens where live sport can be watched, much of the décor has a sporting theme too. The staff were efficient,... More

This is a well known bar in Malahide. It serves good food and drinks. There is a good lunch trade and a typical Irish atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly and I would recommend it as one of the best places in Malahide.

Great location with fantastic staff...typical Irish Pub atmosphere but deep fat fryer dominates the menu... We had fun but we didn't eat well. Having said that, try the chilli.
