We were staying in Dublin for about the 10th time and always try to do something or go somewhere different. A waitress at our hotel suggested a trip to Malahide so we got the 42 bus and after quite a pleasant journey we arrived. Great marina, lovely walk on the beach and a pleasant little town/village.Loads of places to eat.... More

visited here Saturday afternoon with my family. Really great place, lots of knooks and crannies to sit in. Food was good, hot and prompt. Service was excellent with lots of staff on hand.

This is definitely a classic old pub. Friendly service and good food at fair prices. You have to order drinks and food at the bar, but the bar tender/waiter brings everything to the table. During the cold season, fire in the front room makes it even more inviting to sit and enjoy a beer. Fish&chips are my favorite and count... More

Was nice to visit Gibneys during a recent trip home to Malahide in North Dublin. At a time when the general suburban and country pub trade is suffering badly in Ireland, Gibneys remains a thriving community/village pub with a large, regular clientele - testament to the personality investment by Tony and Barry over the decades and Jack before. Their award-winning... More

Authentic pub in Malahide. Although we had basic pub food, it was simple and delicious. Great service. If you are in Malahide during the All Ireland Gaelic Football Final, go to this pub - it should be a GREAT place to see the match (unless you can get tickets to Croake Park!)

This pub is iconic and has been a great meeting place for as long as I can remember. It has a good athmosphere and is worth a visit. There is a good mix of old and young and it is especially busy on the weekends.

Went in here for a bit of lunch on 10/9/14, Couldn't find a clean table, every table seemed to have used cups, dirt, etc on them. Sat down at a table that hadn't been cleared. The young male staff members seemed to be wandering round aimlessly. The place was fairly quiet as it was just after lunch time but we... More

Had dinner here with five American visitors recently. The menu is typical pub grub lacking totally in imagination. Nothing tasted freshly made or home cooked. I ordered a steak thinking it was the best option as it's difficult to mess up a simple steak. I was wrong, my steak was simply awful. Those looking for fresh interesting pub food should... More
