Hard to write a review on a Michelin starred restaurant that left me feeling underwhelmed. The food was very ordinary . Our starters were ham hock croquette very small and chewy. The sea trout was very nice but didn't have the look of a great dish. The mains were Hake and also steak , two dishes that were pleasing but... More

I dined at Le Restaurant at Bon Appetit yesterday evening. I was not disappointed. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented and very tasty. Nice choices on the menu too (I had the 3-course dinner menu). Service was friendly and efficient, but not intrusive. Raphael in particular was wonderful, he was very friendly and helpful with wine choices. Good service can... More

I was delighted with the special weeknight deal downstairs at La Brasserie -- just excellent, and the staff were super.

We arrived and were greeted by a warm & friendly hostess, shown to our table, no offer to take my Jacket but yet my handbag got a stool ? Found this was a bit of a gimmick, we decided that we weren't going to have wine but opted for a choice of beer, we were handed a beer menu which... More

I had wanted to try Bon Appetit for a number of years. I eventually got my chance on my birthday and tried the tasting menu. We wanted the food to be a surprise so asked the sommelier to advise us on the wine: the one we were interested in would have been quite a full bodied red but would have... More

My second visit. Again went for the tasting menu. Again impressed. Portions are just the right size, you don't feel the table feeling hungry nor heavy. The tuna starter was the best plate for me, lots of different, delicate tastes. Service was not intrusive. Only slightly negative point - they add a heafty "optional" tip to the bill.

We went for a Sunday lunch at La Brasserie. It was our first time there, and I was happily surprised by decor, ambiance and service. Starters and mains were very tasty indeed. However was bitterly disappointed by the dessert (hence the 4 stars) which was just not to the standard of the other 2 courses (bad gelatinous ganache and terrible... More

We ate here about 9 months ago and liked the food but were disappointed by poor service (just under trained/inexperienced). The service this time was a lot better (but, I would still argue that it is not A-star, fairly minute mistakes but ones that fall short of michelin perfection). The food was actually also better; very delicate dishes with summer... More

We ate in the Brasserie downstairs. The food was gorgeous - every course was really well presented and tasted very, very good. The lemon curd cheesecake for dessert was really fantastic. The red and white wine we chose (by the glass) was really good. The only negative was a rather cold reception as we came in the door - there... More

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough ! We had the menu prestige with wines and have never had a better unpretentious dining experience. We will most certainly be back when we are back down this way again
