Saturday dinner

Saturday, 22 August, lovely dinner. Very busy with a great buzz. The food was excellent, especially the calamari. They use local produce which is great. The staff were friendly.

Food was fine but certainly not outstanding as claimed in other reviews. There was very little interaction with staff.

Went for lunch today. I really like crockets and generally liked the food. Was slightly peckish today so went for a bowl of soup and a sandwich. Or I should say I wanted a soup and a sandwich. Soup no problem, and was nice big bowl. Brown bread wasn't stale but wasn't the freshest... Couldn't get a sandwich. " sorry... More

Stayed at Crockets again for eight nights on a fishing holiday with two friends and my son. Couldn't fault the lovely food and friendly staff. We had a relaxing stay and would recommend a stay here to anyone.

Our food was nice, I got the fish and chips, fish portion was massive! The Menu itself lacked enough choice, there was options that I liked and then some ingredient in it put me off, it isn't your typical pub grub I had hoped for but it still was nice and people seemed to enjoy it. the pub itself is... Was in the area for a catch up with relations who live locally and they suggested Crockets. Must say it was a great choice. It was bank holiday Monday and although when we arrived at 1.30pm it was quiet it didn't stay that way for long. When we were leaving at 4pm( lots of catching up done) there were people... More

A traditional, friendly bar/restaurant. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent served to us by pleasant, well informed young waitresses.

Short notice booking for seventeen of our family, was handled promptly. Variety of starters; Calamari with Humus, perfectly cooked Scallops, and Goats cheese parcels, to name a few. I had Duck, cooked two ways, a crispy confit of leg and a pink breast. Saw big portion of Cod in a sauce, and Vegetarian dish was Aubergine Parmesan. Plenty of vegetables... More

Always busy which is a good sign. Clean, friendly and a good pub menu. The staff always take the time to talk to you. Locals and travellers all seem to like this place. I have been calling in here for over 20 years and it continues to maintain it's high standard.

If its a pint and chips you want it's grand. The burger with pulled pork is dry as anything as was the chicken with sundried tomatoes. If the meat had not been overcooked it would have been a tasty meal. Staff are nice, chef needs to lay off the heat and concentrate on timing. Won't be going back for anything... More
