Good Food & Service

Limited number of restaurants open when we visited Dingle but this one was and we were not disappointed. Plenty of choice on the menu. Fish of the day was |John Dori, something we had not had before and was again pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.

I visited this restaurant with my daughter. We choose the value menu at €40 a head for 3 courses . The food was great as was the service . No complaints , will dine here again when next in Dingle.

I really can't complain about this restaurant at all, from the staff to the owner introducing himself and well the food, exceptional!! Definitely try the seafood chowder..! It was recommended to us by the receptionist at Dingle Harbour Lodge where we stayed and am so glad we tried there. I would definitely recommend to ring and book a table as... More

I finally was able to get my family to Ireland and the only requirement I had on our trip was to have dinner at the Half Door. I have eaten here once before and it was fantastic. This time was no different. Our party of 9 was all in excitement about eating here after my ravings for the last couple... More

At the end of January Dingle is fairly quiet but thank goodness one of the best is open! We started with some of their signature starters, crab gratin, fish cakes and mushroom gratin, all oozing with flavour. Although famed for their fish they do meat just as well! I followed with one of the specials, beef three ways, which was... More

Went here on a Saturday night in January. Pretty much every place to eat in Dingle was closed, and it was my birthday so wanted to go somewhere nice. So we went here. The staff were fine, not ultra friendly, but it was very busy so they needed to be efficient..which they were! Fair play for them for keeping things... More

The duck confit with a rhubarb sauce was brilliant. Local filet of beef was huge (too big!) and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this place! One note: if you don't want more carrots and potatoes than are already on your plate, ask your waitperson to hold off on the huge extra portion that arrives with your entrees.

Well this place had been 'talked up' but it didn't disappoint. An amazing starter of seafood platter served on a dumb waiter was spectacular - served with exquisite freshly baked soda bread and washed down with fabulous wine. The main course of turbot was heavenly. It was simply too good for words GO THERE!
