We choose this restaurant by pure chance, it was raining hard, no surprise, and we found it open for lunch and just entered. The first impact is positive, cozy, elegant, with a certain style. We choose lobster soup, another fish soup, a delicious crab, and our 3 children chicken with potatoes. Finally we had a wonderful dessert: warm apple and... More

We ran into several people during our short trip in Ireland that recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a nice selection of wine at reasonable prices. My wife had scallops and sol, by far the star of the evening. I ordered a cod special that was good, but was nothing special. The soups were outstanding. The... More

Although it was a Tuesday night, the Half Door, on the main street in Dingle, was packed. We had to wait a bit for our server to get around to us but it was worth it. The four of us had: Crab au Gratin & Crab Claws, Blackened Salmon, Seafood Chowder, and Lamb Shank. Everything was delicious! For dessert we... More

The half door What a pleasure it was to eat in this fine restaurant. Over 3 courses we had the best meal in Ireland this trip. The meal began with freshly baked slices of white and brown bread butter served hot from the oven. And as an extra treat we were also served small slices of bread with a salmon... More

Family ate here on our first night in Dingle. What a great experience to set the tone right for the stay. We took in the early bird which made the prices bit more reasonable although still very expensive. We weren't disappointed. Each course was served in reasonable time and with great service. The food was very tasty and we thoroughly... More
