We arrived about a half hour before closing but were warmly welcomed. My husband ordered the seafood chowder which was chocked full of salmon, mussels, crab and white fish. He said it was a "10". My salmon appetizer was nicely presented on top of greens, and my squid salad was warm with a nicely flavored dressing. I loved the fresh... More

We went on a quiet Tuesday night(18 march ! ) and there was a few tables taken at the front of the restaurant. We sat at the back, 2 diners on a nice big table for 4. We ordered the special - 3courses for €29. Soup, salmon and pavlova. Soup, sirloin steak and panacotta. Lovely bottle pinot grigio, couple of beers to... More

Great restaurant with a large selection. We enjoyed the expanded wine list (we are more wine than beer drinkers) and the prefixed menu's. Try the seafood chowder. So big this could be your meal!

Very nice food and not just seafood! We had the scallops and the fillet of beef, I am always awkward and like my meat blue and they did a marvelous job! My husband also said he thoroughly enjoyed the scallops. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice place. My Only grumble was it seemed a little pricy.

On arrival we felt a little underdressed in T-shirts but we were made feel as welcome as those in suits and even though on first glance the prices on the menu are a little on the high side, the quality of the food certainly backs up the price. The portion sizes are not skimpy nor is the service. Recommendations were... More

St Patrick's Weekend coupled with the Film Festival added to the buzz around Dingle! Hadn't been into the Half-Door for dinner in many years, thoroughly enjoyable meal experience. Excellent lobster bisque to start and sea food platter to follow was also wonderful. Dessert of sticky toffee pudding followed by Irish Coffee (made specially to order with Irish Mist and no... More

Great food, I adored the lobster bisque. Service rushed - I suspect they were short a staff member. Go for the early bird menu - it's excellent value

The price on the set menu was extremely reasonable, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. We enjoyed aperitifs while we waited for our fresh crab and lobster starters. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about matching wines and gave us his undivided attention even though it was a busy Saturday evening. Our mains were simply delish (lamb and mussels),... More
