This restaurant in Dingle, looking out over the marina, is definitely worth a visit. We had the best calamari I have ever eaten and enjoyed our visit so much we went back the next day as well.

This was one of the most lovely restaurants I have ever eaten at and certainly one of the best in Ireland. The seafood platter was amazing and they have Tom Crean on tap (and glasses wink wink boatyard staff!) I highly recommend visiting The Boatyard while in Dingle, especially if you are interested in trying some great fresh seafood!

Myself and my wife stumbled across the boatyard during our few days in dingle. We were lucky enough to get a table straight away. We ended up ordering the platter for 2 which offers quite a good variety of delicious fish and is good value for money. We were stuffed leaving the restaurant. Only word of warning is that since... We had just come off a the fungi boat trip and we were all starving. This was the first place we came across. We were seated quickly, but they forgot to give us menus & clear the table properly. Service was slow initially, but once ordered good arrived quickly, all our fish dishes were lovely, kids meals cost €6.50 and... More

We ate with our 3 children. The atmosphere was poor. The staff not in the least engaging or warm. Brisk and distant at most. The food was ok. The steak was quite tough. One of the children's sausages were completely over cooked boarding burn. On the other hand the kids burger and chicken gougons were lovely and the calamari was... More

Our group had a fun evening at the Boatyard especially when our one friend decided to pick out her first live lobster meal. The majority of our group of 6 loved their food - lobster, shrimp and baked fish. We were disappointed that they were out of the sea bass special. My husband and I tried the crab platter, and... This place has a lot of appetising fish dishes that I would love to try. But I've never got past the Fish Pie choice here because it is so delicious (it must be the mustard seeds in the sauce). Yes the place can get overwhelmed with people because it is so popular and sometimes, but not always, you might have... More

I was there today. The restaurant is very family unfriendly. We had to wait 10 min to be seated and then we're told that we shall vacant the table in an hour. While I was ordering the waitress turned around and went off speaking to her supervision leaving me gobsmacked. When we eventually ordered only one starter arrived leaving others... More

Mind you we were coming in at the end of service at 9:30. All in all a good restaurant. Some place you can go and get a decent meal. They did have a party of 15 or so folks so slow service was understandable. Would go back.

My sisters, our partners and I went for a meal when we were last over for a weekend in Dingle. Had walked past the restaurant many times but had never been in - will definitely be returning! We were all very impressed with everything we were served; starters, mains and desserts. Three of us had the calamari starter; it was... More
