As a family we were having trouble making a decision on our phones in the inclement weather so we dashed in to one of the nearest places that looked like it sold food. Much to our surprise it was a cute little cafe that had great local cuisine as well as other boutique items that were made extremely fresh with... More

Our first stop at the Chowder Café was on cold, windy, rainy day a few years ago, we were looking for something warm for lunch. My husband loves chowder so of course the name caught his eye. It was so good we made a point of returning on our most recent trip to Dingle. Wonderful chowder, soups, sandwiches, large portions,... More

Great chowder for lunch in this little café. The only problem is that the place is tiny and very popular. The platter of a mug of chowder, smoked salmon and battered fish was a great lunch. Everything was very fresh and local.

I joke really, my mother never made chips (or fries, like our North American friends call them) as good as these. My son had the fish and chips, and we were all raiding the chips from his plate. The lovely waitress confirmed that they were made from scratch on the premises. We really enjoyed the chowder, but the chips were... More

Stopped off for lunch on a cold November day and really enjoyed the soup. I had a lovely carrot, coriander and coconut soup and my husband had his beloved chowder It was very tasty, hot and just the way a chowder should be. Reasonably priced and we would recommend if you want a lunch stop with some good honest food.

We went here for a late lunch and I got the sampler with small portions of fish and chips, chowder, and smoked salmon sandwich and it was all great. I would highly recommend this place.

We chose this restaurant on the recommendation of a Dingle resident, and we were not disappointed. In fact, we went back for more.

Got chance to visit Dingle again & chance to visit this Restaurant again having been once before. Went for the chowder platter & with a name like Chowder Cafe it had to be good and was better than good. Also my companion rarely eats fish but this is one of the very few places she will make the exception and... More

Visited for a late lunch, I had the mackerel with warm potato salad and soda bread, absolutely delicious. Chowder is a small cafe and can be noisy and busy, but well worth a visit.
