We tried this place at the recommendation of our B&B owner when we said we enjoyed finding local food and 'off the beaten path' places; she was right on! We walked into a small, well decorated place with beautiful local art on the walls..but empty (usually not a good sign); come to find out we were just about 20 minutes... More

6 of us ate here lastnight, the restaurant was quiet surprisingly for a Saturday night and this maybe as it's not on the Main Street you would have to know where you are going. I booked it on the basis of previous tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent quality, a great choice of specials, we had... More

Dinner for four...we all had something different....I had the lamb and it was wonderful. Small restaurant, excellent service and it was priced very moderate. One of the best food experiences in Ireland for me, my wife and our daughter and her husband. Would like to visit again and again.

Went here with my girlfriend last weekend while in Dingle. It's a small restaurant with great service and food. The decor is basic but the food was lovely and good value too! Had the chicken wings for starter and they were just how I like them, main course was good too and the Deserts pack a nice surprise

They are a smallish restaurant but with a very good food, wine and craft beer selection. We had an "early bird" 2 course meal which was a great value. The food quality and presentation was very nice. The staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. A great little find for us!

Dined here on Sat night on our annual winter trip to Dingle. After menu window shopping we decided to take a chance and opt for An Canteen (having first checked it out on Trip Advisor) and we were happily smiling after it. Both had Mussells for starters and the Salmon and Braised Lamb for mains along with Blackberry Creme Brulee... More

Went here last weekend after the rugby and to be honest was a little disappointed. First of all, we didn't feel the restaurant had much character to it (we stuck our heads in The Half door and it was very quaint and atmospheric compared to An Canteen) and we were seated across from the main door. People kept coming and... More

I had heard alot about An Canteen and finally decided to go there to try the slow cooked beef. The food was very good but the restaurant is a bit on the small side. I was a tiny bit disappointed and probably wouldn't go again but only because they don't have a big selection on the menu and I am... More

Thanks a lot the An Canteen for such amazing dinner. If you love seafood you should try their mussels...forget about Brussels or Niece...you would be glad to taste this one. At the same time you can choose local ale and beer which have a very nice taste. I would highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful meal with delicate 16 Hour Kerry Braised Beef that was cooked to perfection, seasoned along with chicken wings, seasonal vegetables and a fantastic serving of duck. Each really met the food quality bar you see in other reviews here and I would have to highly recommend everything on the menu. The big surprise was the dessert,... More
