Maybe we didn't order well or maybe we were spoiled by outstanding experiences at two nearby restaurants, but we weren't blown away by An Canteen. The high point was hake, simply prepared and perfectly cooked. A salad of bacon, butternut squash, and greens sounded like a good idea but didn't come together. Good fresh vegetables. The room is not especially... More

We have visited Dingle each year for the past few years but only ate at this restaurant for the first time the other day. We were not disappointed. The food was superb and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back again.

Amazing food, very reasonably priced for the top quality food we were served. We were stuffed after out starter and main but couldn't resist the rhubarb and orange crumble which was to die for. Great staff. Highly recommended on your trip to dingle. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant was outstanding. The food was terrific and the owner very friendly and attentive. One of the best meals we had in Ireland. Would definitely recommend eating here. Make sure you get a reservation. The place books up ever night because it's so good.

We stopped at this restaurant our last night in Dingle. Our wait staff talked at length about the menu, taking great pride in the food they serve. We had seafood dishes which were quite magnificent. When in Dingle, we'll be back.

Can you say OMgoodness.... our first night a short walk from Exquisite Heaton's GuestHouse and we gt to indulge in such delicacies at An Canteen.... loved it so much we went again the following night. All the staff welcomed us 4 hungry Canadians. We ordered to have at the same time the Scallops topped with Chorizo = Bliss! and the... More

We had prebooked there for 6 pm and not long after that, the restaurant was full. This is always a good sign. Service was excellent. For main course we had pork belly and An Canteen's fish and chips. Both were first class. For dessert I had lime cheesecake which was delicious followed by coffee. The wine list was comprehensive and... More

My wife and I had the chance to eat at an canteen this evening based upon the reviews from trip advisor. Wow was this place under rated. So first, the restaurant is slightly off the Main Street in dingle but really not far from public parking. There is street parking outside but this is a mixed residential business area so... More
