So, so enjoyable!

This restaurant is known for it's fresh local food. The menu changes daily, depending on what is available. I had the hake fish with broccoli and mashed potatoes, with a local brew. The gin and lime cheesecake for dessert still makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The brothers who own this... read more

We read about fresh seafood, local grass feed beef, local produce, and went for dinner before visiting the fantastic music pubs. We saw a fishermen bring in a large tray to the counter for the restaurant. We asked what was his catch that they purchased and our waiter replied a monkfish. We have purchased and ate monkfish but never saw... More

The food, atmosphere & service was impeccable. The staff were friendly & attentive. I was there with my Father & son, when we left my Dad forgot his passport in the booth & the owner ran after us to return it to him. I would highly recommend the awesome restaurant!

This quaint little restaurant offered wonderful seafood and local beers. Accommodated our group of 13 quite well. Wonderful meal!

An Canteen had been recommended to us by a local resident so we decided to give it. The ambiance was very nice and the location not far from Strand Street. The small restaurant was packed with tourists so the service was slow. The menu looked appetizing but what I ordered was not. I decided to try the 16 hour Kerry... More

Oh, how can I ever start on An Canteen. It is so good that my wife and I made reservations for the next night at the end of our meal. And we were not disappointed on either occasion. Terrific, locally sourced, farm-to-table fare. Everything was special, from the finest mussels we've ever tasted to the fantastic lamb, and yes, believe... More

We dined at Au Canteen after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and were disappointed. The 16 hour braised beef had a lot of flavor, but the appetizers, soup and the special chicken dish for that night were all pretty bland. The service was attentive, and the food presentation was attractive, but it would be great if the chef started... More

If you have been to Dingle and never been here you have missed out. It is one of the reasons i love going to Dingle. The service is brilliant and the food amazing. This was the fourth time I’ve been here and have never been disappointed. I have to mention the Scallops starter ....WOW.... Exquisite..and the Hake was Delicious. I... More

After several days of pub food we wanted a different dining experience. This was an excellent counterbalance to fish and chips! The 16-hour braised beef and the locally-caught hake was wonderful. They have a selection of locally brewed beers, too. The porter I had was excellent; when I complimented it to the owner (who came out to chat with us... More

They serve good food here, however the food is not exciting. Also it is prepared in a rather boring way as you can see on the pictures. Taste is good and price-value is fair as well.
