Dingle Music Shop recommended this restaurant and we were delighted they had otherwise we wouldn't have found it. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dessert but the braised beef was really tender (melt in your mouth) and the service was great. Definitely recommend you book or you might not get in.

A great restaurant with traditional food at a reasonable price Tables a little tight if you weigh more than 175lbs but still doable.

So many positive reviews bear testament to the quality of this establishment and the hard work put in by brothers Niall and Brian. We have been visiting Dingle, every year for 25 years and have eaten at most of the restaurants in the town. Yes the pork and beef dishes are wonderful, but the dish that stands out is the amazing... As usual in our tour of Ireland, we got to the hotel pretty late. The good folks at Castlewood B&B had the menus of just about every nice restaurant in Dingle to look at in their lobby and it was a pretty difficult choice, because a lot of things sounded quite nice. Ultimately, I must confess that we selected An... More

Dingle, county Kerry in Ireland is close to the sea and close to fresh farm produce. The guys at An Canteen are to be congratulated for taking all that is local and turning it into fabulous meals. We had the scallops for entree and they we devine. The local lamb was just as good and the local caught fish was... More

We ate here during marathon weekend in September. My husband had called ahead and when we arrived we warmly welcomed like old friends. The food and service were outstanding and what made my husband very happy was the fact that they had favorite Galway hooker on tap! I would highly recommend this excellent restaurant!

Best meal during a three day stay in Dingle. Great food and service in a small intimate resturant. Locally sourced ingredients where possible.

The only true thing about this place is it's name ''canteen'' except that in a canteen your plate would be loaded! We were extremely disappointed with our visit here especially as we had great expectations from Tripadvisor reviews! The seating was cramped , the napkins were thin paper, the waitress was scatterbrained, forgetting parts of our order, the portions were... More
