Pleasant place to spend some time

Wonderful location but the food could be better for the prices charged. We have been to this bistro many times and the food quality varies from year to year; this year it needs to be upgraded; The location, however, is stunning especially when the sun is shining and the tide is in; for those... read more

We went here on both nights of our stay while glamping in 2014 and were very happy, I rebooked again 5 days before our stay in August this year and we were very excited at the prospect of returning. Firstly in the afternoon we went for a quick drink at the boathouse as I wanted to enjoy a pint of... More

We were there last night, location and setting completely add to the atmosphere of this fabulous restaurant even the background music was perfect. All the adults had the fish of some shape or form and kids had chicks goujons - I mean fresh chicken and not nuggets ! Extremely impressed with this alone. Beautiful bottle of win to accompany. Service... More

I mean by the place, not the wind as it was a lovely calm day right by the water of Kenmare Bay. This place is smashing, it's part of Dromquinna Manor which does glamping in style! The location is exquisite with a full clear view of the bay and the mountains. Don't be in a hurry as it's leisurely but... More

Just back from Boathouse for dinner - very disappointed. I must mention that we have eaten here many times and had good experience but tonight was not good. My husband had seafood chowder to start which was far too creamy and not much fish but his fish & chips main was good. I ordered calamari for main which I must... More

Fabulous food, stunning location, wonderful ambience and super staff. That about sums up this charming little bistro overlooking the beautiful Kenmare Bay. We sat outside before we had our meal and watched the fresh fish being collected from the pier and brought back to the restaurant for cooking. So it's def as fresh as it could be! The food was... Enjoyed two beautiful meals here, staff are very friendly and the food is excellent and not too expensive. Quick service and nice wine menu.

We had dinner there tonight. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer. It was the most tender calamari I'd ever had. Then I had the hake which was delicious. My wife had the crab claws which were also tasty. They were served with a finger bowl which was perfect for getting the sauce off your fingers. For dessert, we... More
