Description: We just had lunch there. The best Scones I have ever tasted. We had Crab Cocktail and an Omelette - both lovely. The owned Grainne O'Connell was wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Many fresh and healthy options on the menu and a good selection of beverages. The atmosphere was quite pleasant; food and service were quite good. Glad we chose the Purple Heather for our lunch.

I ate lunch there almost every day for 3 weeks. Huge, delicious menu. I'm partial to the Purple Heather Omelet and their Toasted Special sandwich. The pate's and prawns are big winners too. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're being welcomed home for a family meal.

Right in the middle of Henry Street.Very good food with good selection across the board.. Very friendly and informed service. Packed with locals which is always a good sign. My wife had a super salad, and I had their selection of Irish cheese and home baked bread. Large portions that leave you feeling that the value is really good; as... More

I was sent here by the owner of Skyline Gallery who said it's his choice in town. I asked for advice for my lunch and the quick response was the crab salad. It was awesome - piled high with sweet crab. Well worth the stop.

Upon arrival we asked for a jug of water and all of the glasses were filthy- not a great start. The service was average, not over friendly. The food isn't great, mushroom soup was very sweet and a very small bowl. The chicken liver pâté was nice but badly presented. The pork and leek sausages were nice but again badly... More

Probably a little pricey for what you get, but it's simple, freshly prepared good food that any age group would be happy with. I had my elderly Dad with me and it's only plain food he likes to eat. Tisn't many places you'll find a ham and cheese salad plate these days. Theirs is made with their own delicious home-cooked... More

Headed here for a quick bite while passing through Kenmare. Adequate place if you are looking for a sandwich, toastie, or salad. Pretty ordinary and simple plate served and staff didn't even ask what kind of bread one required for a sandwich. Seafood open sandwiches and salads were very overpriced and the pint of Guinness had to be the worst... More
