We just had lunch there. The best Scones I have ever tasted. We had Crab Cocktail and an Omelette - both lovely. The owned Grainne O'Connell was wonderfully friendly and helpful.

The food was ok but the service was spotty and the waitress was in a bad mood. The décor was very nice and reminded me of my grandmothers. As it was recommended by the owner of the Coachmans Inn, I was hoping to like it more.

What more can you say about a place that your cousin has enjoyed for 50+ years and we have enjoyed for more than 10 years. Warm, cosy, friendly, the ultimate in Irish comfort food. Brown bread, smoked salmon, Irish cheeses, fluffy omelets....the list goes on. On the High Street in Kenmare, sort of in the middle of everything.

Every trip to Kenmare requires a visit to this local pub. They are locally owned and run by owner. They have a unique menus with outstanding omelette as well as superb Pate. They are only ope from 11-6 and the emphasis is on home prepared food.No chips or fried food available. The owner is a sweet lady.

Stopped here for lunch at the recommendation of our driver, and we were not disappointed. Pub grub in a cozy setting, with very friendly service and congenial atmosphere

Had two open sandwiches, my hubby had the prawns and I had crab, both were really good. Great place for either a full blown meal or equally a snack

Purple Heather was recommended to us for lunch as my husband wanted to try the open crab sandwich. The restaurant is in a prime location on Henry Street, it has a few seats outside, but mainly its seating is inside. The service was quick and courteous. The crab sandwich was quite good - lots of crab meat and flavourfull. I... More

I called in here on what looked like a busy day in Kenmare - sun shining and loads of people on street eating/drinking. Asked if I should just sit down and was told okay, but sit there or there as I want to keep the other tables in case it gets busy but it probably won't - I didn't have... More

Service was good, menu was full of artisan food with artisan prices. Bit confused by the decor. Good location.
