Good Pub Food

The menu was diverse. We had the Chicken Kiev - and it was very good. Our friend had sheep liver - and liked it. service was sparse - especially for paying.

Seated next to a lovely roaring fire we enjoyed a lovely meal simple tasty food with no fuss- kids nuggets looked like the processed variety but they didn't complain and said they were much nicer than those in the Brehan hotel the day before - will be back

It was all a bit rushed as we arrived just before the restaurant was closing service. There was a sense that we were keeping the staff up and that they couldn't get us out the door soon enough. This was a very disappointing aspect to our visit and contradicts the welcome and hospitality you would expect, especially on a quiet... More

This was some of the best food we had in Ireland. We wondered in for a late lunch which did not disappoint. Great, traditional Irish food. A unique atmosphere - loved the old Guinness ad posters that lined the hallways and the old fashioned stove in the corner. We drove half way around the Ring of Kerry the next day... More

Ate here on a busy August day. They had seats on the street outside & the town was bustling. Was lovely to sit & watch the world go by. Had fish & chips. lovely food, very tasty. Very reasonably priced.

Traditional Irish and European dishes served by genuine helpful staff and usually accompanied with a good, lively traditional Irish session.

We went in to meet friends for drinks, on tasting the Guinness which was sharp I returned it to the bar to be told tersely ‘there’s nothing wrong with that’ . . . . followed up with the other member of staff saying ‘we have been pouring it all day’. Now I know what a Guinness should taste like and... More

My troupe first went here for a nice lunch of traditional Irish fare which was very enjoyable and next we came here in the evening for a taste of traditional Irish music. At lunch the food was good with excellent Guinness Pie. The pub has a good atmosphere with welcoming staff. It is one of the best in a village... More

Attracted by the lamb stew listed on the board out front, we were not disappointed. It was tasty and plentiful, and went very well with our afternoon pint of Guinness! A good atmospheric pub, as well.

Servers running like wild trying to serve all of us, every seat was taken and we truly enjoyed the pub while we waited. Had the fish and chips and enjoyed every last bite. Our waitress was a bit stressed but settled once all were served.
