A nice restaurant a few steps from Kenmare Golf Club. In view of the fact that we did not have a reservation and my wife is a chain smoker and also the sun was shining, we ate in the shade of a great oak grilled lobster seafood chowder and my wife chose the t-bone steak, just to have it medium... The perfect place to have a nice dinner. They offer the option to have the plates as a main or starter size, what is very convenient if you want to try more than one thing. The food was really very good, the place cozy, staff friendly and very good value for money. There was soft arp live music at our... More

Arriving here very hungry after a day on Skellig Michael, we were not disappointed by the food, the service or the accommodation. It was a really lovely meal, made all the more so by the excellent service, warm welcome and gracious surroundings. We'll be back! (and the choc dessert was to die for..) Well done to all involved...

Hi Terri, Thanks so much for taking the time to give us such a lovely 5* review, the team work very hard and it's nice to hear words of appreciation from the guests. I remember meeting you and showing you to your room after a stressful drive behind the Kerry tractors and 30mph drivers :-). But lucky you, what fab... More

WARNING: This review is by a lacto-ovo vegetarian (which means I eat eggs and milk products but no other animal, fish, fowl, seafood, meat). There was a very limited selection for me, so I tried the soup (which was average) and the pasta, which came in a sauce that was like watered down catchup (awful). My wife also had to... More

Hi JimC, I think I speak for a lot of chefs/proprietors, I find it quite dishearting after a 12hour day in the kitchen to have to waste my time dealing with your type of review. I find that Tripadvisor empowers people negatively and some people forget what their holiday is about and suddenly become a food critic and cowardly hide... More

We dined here after spending the whole day driving around the "Ring of Kerry". Expectations were high. We'd been told that this fish palace was THE place to eat. So, armed with the experience of having eaten, at least 7 times, at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow and Nathan's 2* fish place in Rock, We were expecting a little... More

Hi John F, Thanks for taking the time to submit your 4* review. Oh my, you had us up on some pedestal putting us in the company of Rick Stein's and Nathan's 2!!! However I'm a bit confused with your comment -"When we visited, fish/shellfish was not the predominant feature of the menu." - the following is on the menu,... More

Recommended by our B and B for seafood, we stopped by to check out the menu and went in for the early bird two course menu at €21. We had the seafood chowder...delicate with hints of dill, the mussels, and the chicken. All were nicely seasoned and done well. Best dinner so far in Ireland (only our second night), but... More

The staff are so accommodating, the food is beautiful, and the price is not off the chart. Make sure you make a reservation, it is a busy place.

We are a couple with a young toddler so were looking for somewhere child friendly with good food to celebrate our last night in Kenmare. Tom Crean's Fish & Wine Restaurant is a lovely place, bright and airy, with good service and even better food. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. We were made to feel very welcome and a... More
