Half bar, half restaurant, with wi-fi, that opens during the day

This bar/restaurant is on Henry Street, in the centre of Kenmare. There are plenty of bars in town, but on my visit (1pm midweek) a lot of them were closed, so I hadn't too many options. This looked appealing from outside, so I gave it a go. Once I heard that they had wi-fi, I ordered a coffee and... read more

A friendly and welcoming bar, with a local band playing in the background. The Guiness here is excellent!

We called in on Easter Saturday. The barman told us to grab any table we liked. We sat down and within a minute, a member of staff came over with menus and took our drinks order. The food came out quickly and most importantly hot. I had a vegetable quiche and found it delicious. The waiter was very courteous and... More

We, a family of six visited Kerry in February/March 2015. Age variation from 82 to 10 years old. We have visited and eaten in, Kenmare many times before, but opting to eat in Foley's was without doubt the worst eating experience I, we, and my family have had, not only in Kenmare but in Ireland. In favour of Foley's the... More

Owner worked and run with local friendly helpful staff. Local seafood, mussels and salmon etc on menu as well of local meats. These foods are cooked to a high standard.. A warm and friendly welcome with a log fire in winter.

Garlic Bread - Wow. So good. It had actually garlic on it rather than just garlic butter. I had a burger which was perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. Mother had salmon which she praised (this is rare). Really great place to eat. Very friendly staff. Will defo eat here again next time I'm in Kenmare.

The mussels here were local and outstanding - I've had a lot of mussels in my day living in Charleston, SC and these were the best I've had. The Shepherd's Pie was also very good but nothing out of the ordinary (honestly I'm not sure how you get shepherd's pie out of the very good category in that it's such... More

The little town of Kenmare in South Kerry is situated in some of the most scenic location Ireland has to offer. Rivers, mountains and seaside all come together to make Kenmare a must see when visiting Ireland. And if you were to spend your days travelling around these areas what better way to finish your day than to visit Foley's... More

We had supper and the food was really good and the service was good even though there was only one person serving drinks and the food. We had pork and pasta dishes and they were huge servings and hot. Well worth a visit and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
