The mussels here were local and outstanding - I've had a lot of mussels in my day living in Charleston, SC and these were the best I've had. The Shepherd's Pie was also very good but nothing out of the ordinary (honestly I'm not sure how you get shepherd's pie out of the very good category in that it's such... More

The little town of Kenmare in South Kerry is situated in some of the most scenic location Ireland has to offer. Rivers, mountains and seaside all come together to make Kenmare a must see when visiting Ireland. And if you were to spend your days travelling around these areas what better way to finish your day than to visit Foley's... More

We had supper and the food was really good and the service was good even though there was only one person serving drinks and the food. We had pork and pasta dishes and they were huge servings and hot. Well worth a visit and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.

Restaurant was fairly quiet. Waiter was amusingly informal, beer mats distributed among us as if dealing cards. Great fun. He was apologetic for forgetting about us for our dessert order but this just added to the informality of the occasion. Guinness beef pie was absolutely delicious. salmon was wonderful too and very generous serving and fish pies excellent. Would have... More

We ate here twice while staying in Kenmare, the food was really good and the pub has great ambiance. Try the roasted pork :) or the bbq pork sandwich

This restaurant is located in the heart of Kenmare. We ordered mussels in a garlic cream sauce to share, as a starter. They were probably the best mussels we've ever had, and the sauce they were in was so good, we were using the shells as a spoon to get as much of it as we could. Our main courses... More

We sat by the fire and enjoyed good food and drink. I had good seafood chowder and a huge dish of mussels (from the appatiser menu). There is a good choice of entrees. The relaxed atmosphere and well-prepared dishes were a perfect way to end a busy day.

Foleys has a nice atmosphere, friendly enough staff, and good food. My husband and I were just a little surprised at the prices. It seemed high for a restaurant/bar type place.

We have eaten several times at Foley's restaurant when we visit Kenmare, the food is fantastic and reasonable priced and you won't find a better place to eat in Kenmare for the money
