Definitely worth a try

Foley's Guest House Restaurant was recommended by our host at our Kenmare B&B. It's a lively large multi-room eatery with chunky wooden tables and crackling fireplaces. In fact, I thought it was quite hot inside but not uncomfortably so. The service was a little slow, despite the dining room not... read more

We stopped in to Foley's to grab a few beers and use the wi-fi. For that, it was most appropriate. We weren't in the mood for food but the menu looked pretty typical of pubs in Kenmare.

Ate here on Saturday night, service was good, however the food was only ok. I ordered well done steak which was very chewy, my husband ordered salmon and prawns which he said was nice. The chocolate brownie was nice for desert.

Went in for a late lunch. The restaurant was not crowded, but service and food were both good and the price was fair.

One of the only places open at 7PM on a Monday night in sleepy Kenmare. Food was good and plentiful. Good selection of Irish whiskey and a cosy fireplace to sit by.

Had mains only. i ordered panfried monkfish and my husband steak and guiness pie. it was obvious that the monkfish was ready long before the steak pie. When we were finally served the monkfish and vegetables were almost cold and the steal pie steaming. Not a good experience. Wont be returning.

We had lunch here and were just looking for something cheap and cheerful. I ordered a pasta dish with prawns and salmon and my wife ordered a quiche with chips. However when the dished arrived we discovered some very basic errors - my pasta was cooked to within an inch of its life and was so soggy that it was... More

Mid week, service was a bit slow, but the atmosphere was very nice. Cold beer and warm people. I'm sure that the weekends definitely liven up.

First of all - the Oyster's and Pizza were good. The food was fine. The only reason this is a poor review is based on the Service. We were pleasantly greeted at the door; however, learning that we were going to share a few small plates and have a pint or two....not have full meals each...menus and silverware were thrown...
