While visiting Kenmare this week, 13th to 15th April 2014 we (four of us) found Mulcahys of Kenmare to be one of a few restaurants to be open on a Monday night. We were greeted by two waitresses who made us feel at home. The food at this restaurant is amazing. I had prawn parcels with peppers and balsamic to... More

Kenmare is a rare jewel in Ireland, it is filled with fantastic restaurants. Lucky for us, we have family that live there and often have the pleasure of dining out. On our last visit we tried Mulcahy's for the first time and were extremely happy. The only disappointment was that we had not tried it on any of our earlier... More

Wild Garlic, which now goes by the name "Mulcahy's", was a real surprise in Kenmare, as the quality of food was leagues above the usual level I would have expected in a town of this size. We ate here two nights, and in both cases the whole experience was flawless: the staff were friendly and efficient; the dining room nicely... More

We ate here on Fri night on recommendation & we were not disappointed. The service at the start was excellent & our waitress was very attentive. The bread was fresh & served warm with butter & pesto. We also received a super amuse bouche. We both had starters & mains, a bottle of Malbec & shared a dessert. The bill... More

Was not expecting such a great dining experience in a smallish country village. Enjoyed superb Beef Wellington on first night and pork belly on second. Each night the "amuse bouche" delighted - greek yoghurt with caramalised beetroot on first night, lobsetr bisque on second. Both superb. Topped off with great service. I found wine list a bit narrow but found... More

This is a very well set up and friendly establishment. They present you with an amuse bush at the start, which was great, I then had an egg appetizer, that I had never seen before on a menu, so gave it a try and was very pleasantly surprised, I followed this up with their duck cooked to perfection, with well...
