Great from the second you walk in. Always made feel welcome and important. Menu is limited but has something for everybody. Food is always a gastronomic delight. I highly reccomend it.

I was looking forward to dining here as I had heard about it from a few people and had seen all the awards it had earned on the walls outside. I expected a special one off experience but the atmosphere was more rushed than relaxed and the staff were disinterested in us.No chit chat just take order and get bill.... More

Our expectations may have been too high. The service was so-so and the food was pretty average. We'd expected a really lovely, cozy experience and ended up with a mediocre one. The food was fine, but lacked anything that set it apart. Unexpectedly, we ended up at the Horseshoe gastropub the next night and both agreed it was a far... More

Had dinner in the lime tree on Sunday night while on a weekend break with my husband, Kenmare is such a lovely town, with great pubs and restaurants for all tastes. Our last night was just fantastic, thanks to the great team at the lime tree. From the moment we set foot inside the door we were made feel so... More

Decided to pop in as we walked past, wow this is one of the nicest restaurants in Kerry, and at €35 for 3 courses fantastic value!! But it's also fantastic food and wine, top quality produce, and cooked to perfection. Do your stomach a favour and eat here if in Kerry!

At €35.00 per head for 3 courses you can't go wrong. I had Chowder followed by Duck then the bread and butter pudding. It was all ok.

We dined at this quaint venue on a Friday night. Very old world , attentive and friendly staff with a very nice and professional welcome . Menu selection was very good, pretty much most tastes catered for. Helpings were generous and presentation of the plates were very eye catching. Log burning fires added to the atmosphere and pleasant unobtrusive conversations... More

We went 3 times in a fortnight so can't be bad! Chef Michael is a great host and staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Lovely fresh produce delightfully cooked. Great atmosphere as well. Deserves to succeed.

All the staff in The Limetree deserve the highest rating based on my experience last weekend. The food was amazing with a wine list they complimented the menu. The warmth and professionalism from all the staff from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left would be very difficult to surpass anywhere else. What made the night so special... More
