Excellent Irish cooking using local produce. Great quality variety and flavour and above all taste. The staff were so welcoming professional and helpful and did not "hover" What a sad irony to eat so well in a part of Ireland that was shattered by famine and emigration. So I made a reservation to the Lime Tree for when I would be in Kenmare. My wife and I were driving to Kenmare so I had a dinner reservation for september 3rd. Got to the restaurant and it was closed. No sign on the door, no phone call before to tell me they wouldn't be open, just closed (with... More

The Lime Tree in Kenmare is in a very attractive building in a rustic setting, just 5 minutes from the heart of this very touristy town on the Ring of Kerry. Reservations are important as this is a well-known and highly-respected place to dine. The staff were very warm and friendly to us and certainly knowledgable about their food. The... More

My husband and I recently had dinner at the Lime Tree following recommendations from friends. This lived up to the expectation and the food was a wonderful selection of locally sourced produce. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. The chef came out at the end of the night and went around to each table which was a lovely idea and... More

Absolutely fantastic meal start to finish last night. Great to see plenty seafood on the menu. All our starters and mains were nearly seafood. It is great to see this restaurant back where it always was years ago. Definitely my no. 1 now. Delicious. 7 of us went and it was great value.

The building in the heart of kenmare is gorgeous and inside the feel is of a country cottage, this week it was full, really buzzing with what looked like happy diners. Menu is good value for kenmare where prices rival Dublin. Nice range with good ingredients, simply done and ending with great flavours. Prawns in the deconstructed cocktails were real... More

Spent first night in Kenmare in this restaurant. Beautiful little converted house. The interior is nice and the ambiance is welcoming. Food is prepared excellently and the A service was expert b level. Really wonderful restaurant. Perhaps the nicest three course meal I have ever experienced. Truely magnificent establishment.

A dinner for 4 on a Friday evening in mid August. Possibly the best food in Kenmare [we didn’t try the Park]. Chowder and Mushroom soup, Seabass and Duck, Crepes and Crumble. Every dish was delicious and each combined exciting and, in some cases, unexpected flavours. The decor was great and the restaurant was full as one would expect. The... More
