Had dinner with friends here last weekend.first impressions nice restaurant prices a bit expensive but if the food is good I'll be happy.quality was good put portions were very small two portions of veg and potato between four people for main course and dessert the smallest I ever had.paid way to much for four people.never again left hungry.

Traditional Irish fare, always good value but a varied menu at the same time. Provided you're willing to push your own boundaries you can experiment here too, albeit only within Irish food. I'd definitely return here, although I have to say that while not Allo's fault, the parking situation in that area of Listowel is kind of crap; particularly if... More

Our son recently came to stay with us - he is a vegan - I rang and asked if Allo's could cater for our visitor - and they did just that - while we ate the usual first rate meal our son received his own menu and then a beautifully presented meal. Thank you very much for making it possible... More

We went for two meals in June/July, a group of four on both occasions. Food quality and presentation is excellent. Had the salmon roulade which was very tasty, my husband had the pork belly which he enjoyed. Two courses each with one bottle of wine and two pints came to over 250 euro ( for 4) which we did consider... More

Local gastropub / restaurant so bound to be a bit biased. Never had a bad meal here and some have been absolutely superb. Thursday theme nights can be particularly good depending on how adventurous the chef is feeling on a particular week.

Arrived hungry after a day at the beach. We took a seat and kept trying to catch the waitresses eye to ask for a menu. We must have been 20 minutes waiting before we were served. We ordered the chicken and prawn saffron rice and sausages and chips for my daughter. The rice came and it was under seasoned and... More

Have eaten here on a fairly regular basis and am rarely disappointed. Recently had the Hake which was superb and could not be surpassed. My partner had the Crab salad which she described as "a work of art".Food always of a very high standard with staff pleasant and efficient. Fully recommended.

After 1 week in Ireland and even coming from Kinsale, my husband and I thought we had the best salmon meal here.

I went to Allos only this week for a bite to eat. It took me a while to debate over the goats cheese in filo pastry (which I have had numerous times and it's amazing) or the crab salad special. After a lot of humming and hawing I went with the crab salad and boy was I glad I did.... More
