Whilst visiting the Cahor region of France we came across this charming little village of Castelfranc with one of the best rural restaurants We have had the pleasure to dine in. From the minute we arived into this cosy dinning room we were made to feel at home. The service was good and very friendly, the margret was grilled to... More

We have dined at this restaurant on a number of occasions and we have never been disappointed. Eric and Olga make you so welcome and the food they serve matches the quality of service. We love the fact that the food here is slightly different from the norm in France and this is why we go back. If the Oxtail... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Everything from Eric's warm greeting to the fine, thoughtful, cuisine to the decor made us so content. The whole time we felt like we were in good hands. We enjoyed their savvy explanations and followed their recommendations. The oxtail and confit de canard were excellent. Our two salads = wonderful. Bottle of... More

Easy to find, easy to park, welcome as warm as the cheminée. The foie gras two ways was delicious, particularly the one poached in Cahors; maybe could have been a little more generous. The cod with a spicy coconut milk sauce and lychee was spiced up for us above and beyond the tolerance of the French palate and hit the... More

Husband is serving while the wife is cooking... Unfortunately you need to order your "souffle au grand-marnier" as a dessert you need to order it upon reservation.. it will be... More

My husband, nine-year-old daughter and I had a lovely dinner at La Vigne Haute. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed the quirky decorations and the peaceful garden. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. I ended up eating something other than what I had intended to order, but I think my poor French was to blame. The meals were... More

We enjoyed a great meal here, combining traditional French food (the duck was superb) with Thai (the fish my wife had was also excellent). The service was very friendly, offering advice on a really nice local wine. Would definitely eat there again if in the area. Also a good sign that our B&B hosts in Crayssac eat there regularly!

What a nice treat to have such a good restaurant nearby while staying in Castelfranc. We ate on the terrace, but the interior looks very welcoming also. Regional ingredients are given a nice twist including a duo of foie gras, and delicious onion soup, followed by duck confit and magret breast finished on the bbq. Highly recommended

A nice little restaurant on the main square of the village Catelfranc run by the owner and his wife. They offer delicious duck BBQ with orange sauce (my favorite). We have been there several times and the owners are very welcoming. It's nothing fancy, but each time a pleasure coming back.
