Great food, friendly service, good value

We were a family group of 7 with 3 being kids. Really tasty food, all plates completely clean. Service friendly and swift enough. You really tasted the food had been cooked from fresh ingredients. Nothing too complicated just great taste. Loved it.

Good food but appallingly slow service from this restaurant run and served by just 2 people. All food appears to be cooked over an open BBQ in the restauarant, giving every dish a smoky taste and smell.( 1 & a half hours from ordering main course to table ! )

We ate at this restaurant on June 25, and 26, 2015 at the recommendation of our B&B. On the first night we had the salade nordique, a lovely fresh salad with salmon and shrimp, then the rabbit leg confit, which was really delicious and a lovely change from duck! We decided to come back the next night and reserved a... More

Local food, expertly cooked. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. Have eaten here several times and never disappointed

Like others, we enjoyed a dinner here while traveling around France, and it stands out as a highlight. The menu was a great mix of traditional French, with Asian alternates that I wish I had another night to try. Choosing was difficult, but the grilled canard was outstanding, as was the fois gras cooked two ways. Eric suggested wines to... More

Whilst visiting the Cahor region of France we came across this charming little village of Castelfranc with one of the best rural restaurants We have had the pleasure to dine in. From the minute we arived into this cosy dinning room we were made to feel at home. The service was good and very friendly, the margret was grilled to... More

We have dined at this restaurant on a number of occasions and we have never been disappointed. Eric and Olga make you so welcome and the food they serve matches the quality of service. We love the fact that the food here is slightly different from the norm in France and this is why we go back. If the Oxtail... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Everything from Eric's warm greeting to the fine, thoughtful, cuisine to the decor made us so content. The whole time we felt like we were in good hands. We enjoyed their savvy explanations and followed their recommendations. The oxtail and confit de canard were excellent. Our two salads = wonderful. Bottle of... More

Easy to find, easy to park, welcome as warm as the cheminée. The foie gras two ways was delicious, particularly the one poached in Cahors; maybe could have been a little more generous. The cod with a spicy coconut milk sauce and lychee was spiced up for us above and beyond the tolerance of the French palate and hit the... More
