As a regular for lunch I am never disappointed in the great service and quality fo the food on offer in this quirky bistro. The food is always freshly prepared and cosnsitently of a high standard. As a bit of a burger buff, the house one is superb and my only problem in deciding between skinny fires or fat chips... More

I recently noticed that Sax on the Street have recently Re-opened at weekends and glad to see it too. I frequent the place 2-3 times a month and have never been let down by the quality of the food. I had the Beef stir fry on my most recent visit and must say it was the best I've had for... More

Where did it all go wrong?? This place used to do geat value, fresh bistro food and had people queued on the street to get in on a Fri and Sat night. I decided to take my wife for her birthday meal and was quite surprised to find there were only 2 tables filled. I soon discovered why. The food... More

We visited the Gilford Restaurant (they don't have a page on trip advisor) food was amazing, waiter was friendly, very knowledgable on the dishes and good Craic, however the service was a little slow as there was only the one waiter for the whole restaurant, atmosphere was nice and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Had a fabulous, meal tonight, the only problem was a family with two small extremely badly behaved daughters who were given free reign to wreck. The silence when they left was almost deafening! Our food, was, wonderful, perfectly cooked and served just how we liked it. The waiter was friendly and apologised for the noise. The meals were good value and I for... More

Booked Mill Street Restaurant, Same management as Sax on the Street in Gilford, for four. We had heard quite a bit - all positive- about the restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Level of service exceptional, food exquisite and personal attention from owner very welcome. Having read one fairly derogatory review, I would suggest that you book well in advance... More

in a reply to solace 1138, Mill street Restaurant is a fine dining Restaurant and opens for dinner only. As such, you would obviously make a booking for Saturday evening and as a policy we do not take people without reservations. I am the middle aged man you describe and I am very sorry to say that you have a... More

Having read the rest of the reviews I can see why there is a bit of a mix. I have eaten here twice, both very different experiences. The first time was excellent service and lovely food. Nice candlelit atmosphere and very busy. The second time wasnt so good. Service wasnt great even though there was less customers and the food... More
