Nice place

We have eaten here a few times both sitting in and taking away. I feel that the food is typical of any Chinese restaurant. Nothing spectacular jumps out at me. Certainly nothing bad either though! The decor inside is very nice

Waited 45 minutes for food which was overcooked, unappetising and one meal not what was ordered. They said kitchen was busy with carry out orders - not acceptable when you sit in for a meal. We paid for drinks & left without eating.

My daughter and I came here for a meal to celebrate her birthday. The first thing we were surprized at was that there was no-one eating in the restaurant at all and this was a weekend in December! We were brought prawn crackers at the start and these were cold and thick and rubbery. We were then served our main... More

Went to this Chinese lately and have to say it was hugely disappointing. The portions were small and both main meals tasted the same and it was hard to work out which was which. It looked recooked from earlier as it was crusty and from ordering to being delivered to the table was about 5 mins. Plus the rice bowl... More

We got a carry out of food. When tucking into the black bean chicken it looked like the chicken had been recooked from earlier with an overkill of salt and the satay sauce with the same chicken recooked was putrid and greasy, it was more of the substance of pork gravy there was no taste what so ever of satay.... Have got takeaway from this Chinese a few times and have to say it has been pretty good every time. The food tastes like it is freshly made, unlike some places where it tastes stodgy and gloopy. One of the dishes I got was a crispy chicken dish, from some restaurants this can end up all crispy batter and no... More

When I went in I wasn't greeted, I got appointed to a 4 seated table but 6 of us had went- so we waited for 10-15 minutes until we actually got to a table. Service was not good they were slow and very very hard to make out. We ordered crispy duck with wraps and sauce, we got back a... More

Ate here May 2014. Friday evening for family of four. Have to say all the food was excellent, really fresh and full of flavour. Had duck, monkfish and young chow fried rice. Both children had a kids menu meal which was equally high standard. Really excellent value for money too including the wine. Staff were really efficient and friendly. Make... More

Once again we have visited the Bauhinia Palace whilst in the area for a short break. The food is without question excellent and the service is first class. We always get a warm welcome whenever we go there and would recommend it without reservation to anyone who enjoys very good Chinese food served in very pleasant surroundings by very friendly...
