Unfortunately the kitchen facilities are limited and only bacon or sausage gaps were available as cooked, danish pastries and croissants, were available other than sandwiches. Coffee was good though.

I love visiting Waitrose and enjoy a drink and a snack. We were disappointed to be served Tuna Melts without the cheese melted, as though the staff had tried to limit the time it was put under the grill to get more done! Even more challenging was a tempting Greek salad which turned out to have a handful of uncut... More

We went in for a light supper meal after driving down 150 miles but discovered they only seem to do tea, coffee and light bites like cakes. There was a queue of people all wanting a free coffee with their Waitrose card which held things up. We won't be bothering again.

Popped in for a coffee Sunday morning with a friend - had to take my latte back to the counter as was only lukewarm at best - however I would say there was no problem and they brought a fresh one to my table within minutes. We both also had the "scone, cream, jam and fresh strawberries" snack which was... More

This is a lovely little coffee shop if you can use it. I shop very regularly at Waitrose and it would be lovely to take up the offer of a free coffee when shopping, but you can't because all those people in the queue are only wanting a free coffee to go and have not made any purchase. Free coffee... More

If you have a 'My Waitrose' card all Waitrose cafes are a must..... as a cup of coffee or tea is free! I'm a mocha coffee afficionado.. and theirs is good. Sadly.. so are their cakes..... A wicked treat if you're near one of these establishments

This cafe is good with good range of food and drink but the sitting area is a bit cramped and functional this store could do with enlarging this area with some comfy settees too

Waitrose cafe used to be a little haven during shopping but has got very busy . If you have a My Waitrose card coffee is free and with free newspapers to read I feel that is why it has become so busy. Very rare to find a seat now so do not bother to use much anymore which is a... More

Over the last couple of months this in-store cafe seems to have changed its mood and trade. I have tried to sit down here a couple of times before taking my trolley to the checkout only to find that most or all the seats seem to be taken up by people who don't seem to have been shopping in Waitrose... The store and the cafe are both too small by at least half. The shop doesn't carry very many of the ranges available in full sized branches. Even Okehampton has a lot more. The cafe at Carkeel often involves waiting both for tables and in the food queue. But the tea and coffee are free if you have a no... More
