Tasty - but quite spicy

Popped in for dinner at the Maazi for a curry after a day out in Matlock. We hadn't booked, but were in luck and got a nice table for 2. We had a nice meal; the starters were good, and the mains very tasty. The only slight criticism was that, I know it's a curry house but everything was really... read more

Really nice food good flavour and content, great atmosphere and good service would suggest booking at weekends. Only down side is the relatively small choice on the menu hence we are not frequent visitors. Would thoroughly recommend this for an Indian meal if you are in the area

From the moment of arrival and welcome, the feeling was positively of pride in their presentation and service. This differs form the multitude of 'indian' restaurants, surprisingly in a relatively small provincial town, by offering Chef's Specials that are unique, in my experience. The quality was undeniable and the flavours were impressive. All round good experience.

We had not booked a table but despite them being fairly busy we were welcomed in and treated as though we were old and valued customers. They have an extensive menu and we were all impressed with and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the food and the service were excellent.

The staff were attentive when we first arrived but service was slow and my Bhuna did not taste like any other Bhuna I have ever had! We were a party of 4 and only 3 glasses were bought to the table for our jug of water to share. I asked for the bill twice before it arrived; we were left... More

Title says it all. Food arrived barely warm. Rice was stodgy and cold and even though I complained they didn't sort it. Just wanted to rush me out of the door. Won't go here again not even for a free meals

the food and service were both excellent. We all enjoyed our choices from a wide and varied menu. The service was spot on and the dining room clean and nicely set out.

My husband has found himself a new favourite curry, chicken keema balti. Our evening at maazi tonight was brilliant from beginning to end. Friendly efficient service, wonderful food and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

We've been to Maazi on Monday after a long day walking around Peak District and had a great meal with my husband and daughter in here. Lovely decoration with rose petal everywhere from stairs to table. Staffs are very helpful and nice. As staff advise, we chose the Monday tapas with homemade samosa, tri of tikka and chicken pakira for... More
