The food is excellent. It is a standout restaurant in a town that has fairly standard pub food (some of which is very good). Good value for money against the prices in some of the pubs considering how good it is. The service also deserves a mention. Very friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant was busy on a cold night... More

Looking for somewhere to eat on our visit to Bakewell. Found Piedaniels on Tripadvisor and was very pleased we did. Food and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend and would certainly visit again.

Very pleased to find this gem near to home and to be able to take relatives who are used to a lot more choice in a larger town. We were happy with the food, presentation and service. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back!

Good reputation and well deserved. Food was excellent and the service was attentive but not smothering. The servers were well versed in the food and made good recommendations for both wine and dinner. The fresh bread was wonderful.

We called in for lunch before Christmas. Received a very warm welcome. Good choices on the menu. I said I liked my food very hot (not spicy hot) and it came as requested. The food was first rate and beautifully served. We hope to go back soon.

Second visit this year. Food is excellent, if rather large potions. The local steak is one of the best I have eaten. Bit short on customers for a Friday evening and could have done without the piped music. Will visit again soon.

I just rang to order a gift voucher and the phone was answered by a rude man who when I simply asked hi can I purchase a gift voucher I was told "what now" I said yes, to then be told "no I am busy dealing with customers, ring back between 3-4". Well I will not be ringing back nor... More

I don't need to say a lot. The hosting and service here are outstanding and just right for me. No pretentious stuff just welcoming with a capital W. Our meal was good but it wasn't the reason that our get together was a great night out.

We stumbled across this lovely little restaurant and are very pleased we did so! The welcome was very warm and attentive and the lunch menu gave us plenty of choice with a good selection of wines. All three courses we chose were beautifully presented and the quality of cooking was excellent. The atmosphere and service in the restaurant was just... More
