Bitterly disappointed. Starter of scallop in the shape of a sausage sitting in a pool of overly acidic tomato and smothered in dill. The main courses were overdone both the fish choices and the meat. The wine was fine. We left without bothering with desserts or coffee having paid a bill of £250 for six of us

I arranged a lunch to celebrate my 60th Birthday for myself and twenty three close friends and family who were all ladies, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food and service were excellent, the atmosphere very relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. What a beautifully decorated restaurant, I will certainly be visiting again, We all had the lunch/evening menu either 2... More

The lady at Bagshaw Hall recomended although some friends had already pointed us in this direction - say Pied-anials (not Pie) pronounced the French way - we were not disappointed. All food excellent with very good service too. Thanks

Four of us enjoyed and evening meal from the two course menu. Very reasonably priced. Two starters were very good and two just average. Main courses were as expected for the price paid. Bottles of red and white wine were excellent and at perfect temperatures. It was an unexpectedly busy evening and the staff coped very well and were pleasant... More

My husband & I eat regularly at Piedaniels. If we have visitors it's the place we take them as we know the food is beautiful. The welcome & service is faultless and the setting is so relaxing, beautiful decor & appropriate music all combine to ensure your evening is perfect. I have no qualms recommending this restaurant.

We are visiting bakewell this weekend piedaniels was recommended to us. The decor in the restaurant was very attractiveand staff were welcoming. In terms of the food it was nice but not as special as we were expecting. Firstly two of us had fillet steak one medium and one medium well. We ended up with each other's instead of what... More

My friend and I recently came across this lovely restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room had a classy but not pretentious feel. We chose from the 3 courses for £18 menu. The food was tasy, the lamb well cooked and the creme brulee was to die for. The only thing I might say is that if... More

Although very close to the centre of Bakewell you need to check its location on google and not rely upon coming across it. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday lunchtime and booking is recommended. The restaurant presents a light airy interior with crisp linen tablecloths and sparkling glassware. Paper napkins may be forgiven at lunch time... More
