We came here with friends on a Friday evening, not having booked but taking a chance on a free table. In fairness, there were loads of free space. The restaurant feels a little tucked away and we sort of stumbled across it but it really was a cracking place. The service and the food was excellent. We were tempted to... More

What a beautiful restaurant. Decorated tastefully this restaurant is tucked away down a side street in Bakewell. We had a recommendation from local resident, so went out for a birthday meal. This was lovely - quite generous portions, beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Very friendly staff, comfortable seating, white linen, what's not to like? Special offer on lunches and... Was really good to be back here, nice greating from the staff. Had a pre dinner drink in the small lounge. Table set with crisp linen, cutlery, and glass wear. The menu is small ( which I alway think is a good thing to many items could lead to frozen food) but with something for ( mostly) everyone. We chose Blackpudding starter... More

We stumbled across this restaurant this evening and thought we'd see if they could fit us in. Luckily we got there not long after they had opened for the evening and they managed to squeeze us in and it was fabulous. We did not feel rushed at all even though we knew they needed their table back at a specific... More

at Piedaniels upon arrival , small bar area and the downside was we had to go to our table straight away and it would of been nice to have a drink in the bar area first which was full and no where to sit however did not detract from a wonderful night of food and wine . Service impeccable, very... More

The food is excellent. It is a standout restaurant in a town that has fairly standard pub food (some of which is very good). Good value for money against the prices in some of the pubs considering how good it is. The service also deserves a mention. Very friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant was busy on a cold night... More

Very pleased to find this gem near to home and to be able to take relatives who are used to a lot more choice in a larger town. We were happy with the food, presentation and service. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back!
