Had 2 lovely evening meals here on a short stay in Ashford. The food was particularly good. Large portion size and particularly enjoyed the lightly battered broccolli. Other vegetables were cooked to perfection. Very popular pub.

The food was good, the service was appalling, it is no use just turning up at this hotel if you have not booked, you are treated as though you are invisible, you will not get a table in the restaurant only in the bar but then it is first come first served, so be warned book ahead.

Went on a Monday evening it was busy but we had not booked but got a table in bar area no problem. Good menu with a different dishes from the normal pub foods. Food was very good and average priced. Would go again.

Always need to book a table as a very busy restaurant. Friendly staff, good service and good food, would have liked to see more choice on pudding menu.

Just right with a large outdoor eating area behind the car park. The bar meal menu was very filling. Good parking facilities at the rear.

The Ashford Arms was recommended, we were advised to take a break from the fishing day have some food and return to the river at about eight in the evening! Pitching up at the Ashford Arms we were rather alarmed to find very table booked! We spoke nicely to a waitress who managed to find a table to fit our... More

We managed to find a table and a nice waiter took our order within a few minutes of sitting down. we both ordered steak which arrived fresh and hot - everything was served fresh - no wilted veg in sight. the two young lads who... Don't go here if you are local to the area as this place seems to now have a very high opinion of theirselves which they are not living up to. I don't know how this place can call itself a hotel and restaurant when all it is is a local pub with a few bedrooms on offer. Many years ago... More

Only one of our group of six had a poor meal but we did have to wait over an hour for it to arrive. The service was bland, not a smile in sight, and a tad unfriendly. Everything seemed to be a little tired, and it is true to say that this was a Friday night and the place was... More
