Probably the best meal I've had in a Restaurant! Superb service, great ambience, would definitely go there again for a special occasion.

Lovely restaurant with amazing food, excellent quality local produce. Having spent all day preparing for a house move we wanted to treat ourselves and this was just the place. We had the ribeye which was easily the best steak I have ever toasted! Fab service, lovely wine list and a gorgeous setting. Shame we only discovered this as we are... More

We were staying in Lacock and this restraunte was recommended by our host at the bed and breakfast where we were staying. Hubby had the white onion soup,to,start which was delicious and I had scallops which were cooked to perfection. Main course for me was turbot and hubby tucked into,in his words the best steak he has ever had. The... More

Nice to be able to order a glass of champagne as an aperitif. Our order was taken in the bar and we were then shown to our table. We decided against a starter and just shared a canapé of pork rillettes. Main course was a good quality burger for my husband while I had one of the nicest steaks I... More

I am always a little reluctant to order a roast dinner when I go out for Sunday lunch, as I am usually disappointed and feel home made is better. Our lunch today was an exception and exceptional it certainly was. It was really delicious, both my husband and I thought the beef and pork were some of the tastiest we... More

Stopped off for a quick spot of lunch and had some of the best fish and chips I have had in a pub....ever. The chips were handcut and the mushy peas were to die for. Would definitely visit again!

Have eaten here several times for Sunday lunch - always very good and they don't stint on the gravy! - but this was the first time we have eaten dinner. For mid week it was surprisingly busy and there appeared to be a couple of large groups, but this did not affect the service too much, although one new member... More

Recently discovered that the owners are the same people who took The Pear Tree at Whitley to such a high standard. So we booked for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. I had some of the best roast beef ever! It was very rare which wouldn't be to everyone's taste, and I wasn't asked how I would like it. So... More
