From the moment of arrival to the time of departure i could not fault anything at this relaxing country house full of nooks and crannies which after 3 days we had not fully explored Our visit was to celebrate an 80th birthday for extended family members ageing in range between 2-80 and everyone had a similarly fantastic experience as all... We met a few friends who were staying in this wonderful, quirky hotel for dinner. It was like eating at a friends home - log fire roaring, no pressure on ordering, then through to crisp white linen and a sparkling table. The staff were so friendly and relaxed. And then the biggest surprise - the food was really good. Between... More

We stayed a weekend in October in this lovely but somewhat cramped hotel. Our room which was the cheapest available double was £ 250 including one dinner. The room was well equipped and comfortable but because it is an old property, access by way of a steep staircase can be a problem. The spa was very disappointing - the indoor... More

We went to a Golden wedding celebration for both afternoon tea & dinner in the evening. The afternoon tea was beautiful. Tea & Coffee in abundance, delicate sandwiches, delicious cakes (the scones with jam & cream are to die for) and with the addition of attentive staff and a private room it was all perfect. The dinner started with pre... More

We had a lovely lunch in this hotel as a child free treat. We were concerned that, being a child friendly hotel it would be overrun with the little darlings but not so! The food was average and quite pricey but the service very good and the outside seating area and grounds were lovely.

We went for a spa treatment as it looked very nice on the website. It was much smaller than expected and there was no one on reception when we arrived. The therapists were lovely but the overall place wasn't as I would have expected for Woolley Grange

A belated birthday meal from my wife brought us to Woolley Grange and what an excellent evening it was with us both enjoying three course meals cooked and presented to a very high standard. The menu although concise had a good variety of choice and the dishes proved to be created with flare and skill with well balanced flavours and textures,a... We've stayed here several times in the past & have recently visited as non residents for Sunday lunch. The food is delicious & beautifully presented, service always good & they are so lovely to children. A fabulous atmosphere too. And our children had a great time in Woolley Bears den while we enjoyed coffee and the papers by the fire...... More
