Quaint traditional tea shop

Lovely scones, friendly staff, fresh tea leaves served in pretty teapots and teacups. Remember to duck your head as you go through the door!

Arrived half an hour after they opened for one Full English and one scrambled egg with smoked salmon - a ritual when in the area the past 20 years. On delivering the tea and coffee we were advised the cooked breakfast was unavailable. When we explained the cooked breakfast was our reason for visiting, we were kindly told by the... More

Duck your head as you enter the small door! It is like a step back in time - servers in white aprons, teacups on the table. small teapots to steep the tea, sugar cubes in a china bowl and wonderful tea cakes. There is a menu for meals or for tea. Tables by the window have a great view over... More

We stumbled upon this old building on a recent visit to Bradford on Avon and enjoyed a charming, "olde-world" experience. The Bridge Tea Rooms are housed in a C16th Blacksmith's House and have low ceilings and small rooms as a result. The staff wear Victorian-style uniforms which are very smart. We had fish cakes for lunch which were perfectly nice... More

Fabulous for lunch or tea. The waitresses are dressed in long dressed with aprons and hats as in Victorian times. A very nice touch. Service is superb and so is the food.

Having known this Tea Room for many years, and because of its good reputation and reviews I felt disappointed with the lunch we had last Bank Holiday Sunday. My jacket potato was uninspiring and some of the salad really past its best. I think Bridge Tea Rooms has a lovely charm and atmosphere, and I know the cakes and cream... More

I only stopped here for coffee but it was very good. If I hadn't had such a big breakfast maybe I could have been tempted by the lovely cakes on show.

I love coming here for the tea and scones. 2 scones makes a fairly generous portion. The cream and jam are delicious. The staff have always been really friendly and provide great service, It can't be an easy job dressed in full Victorian maid outfits. They have a great selection of teas, my new favorite is the Vanilla. I will... More

Staying in Bradford-on-Avon, the Bridge Tea Rooms is a must! I decided to go for the Empire Afternoon High Tea, and I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't cheap, but the location and atmosphere of the place are well worth it. It's incredibly small, which wasn't a problem for me, traveling alone. The hospitality was great, as was the feel... I first visited this tea room 25 years ago and felt that it was time to revisit. Little had changed, staff are still wearing long black skirts covered with long white aprons, food is fantastic and extremely busy. They do take bookings so if you have limited time probably worth making a booking. The cream tea is one of the... More
