We came here over 2 years ago and today went again for the high tea... Yummy! It's a little expensive at about £17 for sandwiches, cakes and scones but it's done so well in such lovely, authentic, genuinely old and ramshackle rooms, that you really don't mind! You can choose your own tea (in a large pot) from a long... More

We found this by chance as it was the first tea-room we hit after parking nearby. The building dates from 16th century so it has braced walls which are decidedly uneven on the outside. Entrance is via a low height door and inside, well you can get most teas that you can think of. My tip in the cold weather... More

Visited in December - beautifully decorated with tiny door entrance. Scrummy home-made cakes, great service and yummy mulled wine!

Ample of car park available across the street so parking is not an issue. This cute little old style tea room where pretty females in traditional attire welcomes you. You can opt to sit either downstairs or upstairs both are great place to enjoy your tea or coffee. There’s a wide selection of tea and coffee you can choose from.... More

We had a fabulous birthday tea here on Monday 5 January and could not have asked for a more charming, delightful tea room than Bridge Tea Rooms. Exactly what a tea room should be and more, from the lovely relaxing harp music to the elegant bone china this provided a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable place for a cup of tea... More

Really quaint tea room in a fantastic old building with lots of character. Lovely food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed having tea at the Bridge Tea Rooms this afternoon - the Christmas decorations were still up and there was a roaring fire, so the atmosphere was really cosy. The waiting staff couldn't have been friendlier (they even chatted with our shy little four year old - and he chatted back!), and there is a great selection of... More

We had a good afternoon tea here, with one of us having the savoury and the other the Victorian tea, The place was crowded as was new year eve, but the service was still good and the staff friendly. The food was good and the selection of teas was excellent. The place has character and is cosy and is with... More

I've had lovely coffee and cake here over the years but discovered the cheesecake at the beginning of last year and it has been hailed the best ever. We now buy it to take home and gave one to family this year, which was described as the best cheesecake they've ever had. It only cost £15 to take away and... More

Character tea room, with cosy fireplace. Service was a little slow so dont go if you are in a hurry but nice to relax if you are not. We had some lovely leaf tea in a large pot and coffee with free replenishments and a nice scone each for £7.90 total. The only thing out of characture were the high... More
