Nice and Classic

Beautiful tea room in an old building in Bradford-on-Avon. Lovely cakes and scones. Tea was equally great. Staffs were also friendly. I wish there is something like this near home.

We've had afternoon tea at the Bridge Tea Rooms a number of times over the years, and it never lets us down. The building is early 17th C, well preserved, authentic (although the chairs are more modern--wish that could be changed) and charming. The waitresses are unfailingly cheerful and helpful--nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is absolutely delicious--proper... More

In general a pleasant experience. The tearoom is housed in an old building and has a good ambience. It is basically a tea room, which does light meals. The service and food, with very adequate portions were good. The only fly in the ointment was the bread supplied with the soup. This was like a bap and not too pleasing in... More

STOP what you are doing and head to the West Country for a world class cream tea. I make no bones about my love for the cream teas and this is by far the best I have ever had. Situated around 30 minutes from the busy A303, this is a fantastic place you do not want to miss. The tea... More

Looking for lunch on a rainy mid-week day, we happened into a bit of time traveling. Bridge Tea Rooms are in a building which has housed various enterprises since 1520,. Because the road outside has been built up in the past 600 years, there are two steps down just inside the low door. We landed in a cozy tea room... More

Everytime we go to Bradford on Avon, the Bridge Tea rooms is a must to visit. I can never believe the size of the cakes in the display cabinet and the English Cream Tea is to die for. The staff are dressed in period costume which certainly adds to the ambiance of the place. You can sit upstairs or down,... More

Having booked a cream tea at 3.30pm on a Sunday after reading that this tea room was voted to be in the Times top 20! We arrived to be told that our table was not ready, got back 20mins later to be sat right outside the toilets and the stairway! We then waited 30 mins for our food, asked to... More

We visited this tea rooms on two occasions. The charm of this old building, with waitresses in ''Victorian'' gowns was just what we were looking for. In such a lovely setting the home-made food was excellent and plentiful. I think the fact that we went back again says it all.

Looks great from outside. Equally attractive inside. Had excellent pot of tea (generous with hot water to top up) with very nice key line pie and cheesecake.
