Lovely cream tea.

Recently had a lovely cream tea here, served in a quaint restaurant by staff dressed in victorian dress. The tea was delicious comprising two scones ,apot of clotted cream and two different jams. We had a cup of very nice tea served in china cups and made from leaves which made a nice change. The... read more

As soon as I walked in I felt very badly dressed. A suit and tie at the very least or better still a frock coat would have been more suitable. However, as no one else was so attired I stopped worrying. This place has to be experienced, but not just for the food, which by the way is very good,... More

The outside of the building was charming and really draws you in, mind your head as you enter and leave as the door is very low, the inside did not disappoint either it was totally charming, with the décor and the Victorian outfits worn by the waitresses perfect. The service was excellent with the staff very helpful and attentive, although... More

Although the restaurant was very busy we were shown to a table almost immediately and served within minutes. We had a very tasty light lunch- yummy red onion tart and salad! Would certainly like to stop here again and sample the very appetising- cream tea!

Perfect tea house in idyllic location. Girls in Victorian outfits, cosy interior. Owner/manager kindly let some visitors in to get away from non-stop rain even though it was after closing time. A nice, warm-hearted gesture that deserves your support.

Called in for afternoon tea and although busy with no reservation we were seated immediately. Great service with attentive staff and lovely food.

If anyone has taken the time to read a couple of my reviews you will note that I have a certain fondness of cream teas. Having stopped after a bike ride, I was in desperate need for a drink. Well, we happened upon this place and the drink became secondary. Very twee and British and the cream tea was awesome.... More

This is a lovely building with sloped floors and great character. The afternoon tea was nice, and jams lovely. There was a good selection of teas to choose from. We visited on a Sunday at approx. 12pm. We were seated on the second floor. There were a lot of reserved tables, so it was quite quiet. Some of the staff... More
