Traditional Tea rooms

Staff dressed in Victorian style serve a range of English cream teas. Well worth a visit. Better than a lot of the more renowned Bath Tea Rooms.

We were looking for somewhere light to to eat at 4.40pm, never easy in England. Saw that Bridge Tea Rooms were still open and went in. First impression was of a delightful English tearoom with spotlessly clean linen tablecloths, charming teacups and a small vase with a daffodil on each of the small tables. No customers but two waitresses dressed... More

Really loved the look of the building and the choice of food displayed on the menu outside so in we went, 2 adults and 2 children. They were very busy and initially said there was only room for 2 but then agreed we could just make do and squeeze round a table if we were happy to. I wont lie,... More

If you want to see how tea should be, treat yourself to a feast at The Bridge Tea Rooms. All those little details you had forgotten about are beautifully present: hot water jug, tea strainer, sporks (no sticky fingers here!) and a tea menu that reads like a fine wine list. For me it's Russian Caravan every time: smoky and... More

A quirky little place. Popped in for tea and cake. The place was very busy as it was the easter weekend, but they fitted us in. The service was excellent. The cakes were delicious and everyone said their teas were good. Would definitely go back.

Visited this afternoon, having reserved a table earlier in the week, so glad we did as very busy. We both chose afternoon tea which was delicious. The young lady who served us, unfortunately didn't catch her name, was very polite and friendly. We were unable to finish all the cakes but were advised that we could being any that were... More

Was like stepping into the Victorian era - waitresses in long frocks, aprons & bonnets. Lovely fireplace, lots of nooks & crannies. Tea served in china cup & saucer, with extra jug of hot water. Delicious, home-made cakes. Lovely building with a lot of history and a piping hot cup of tea served by a friendly and helpful waitress. Not... More
