Busy, food average and not particularly cheap for what it was, service friendly but a little slow. I had a lamb and apricot casserole and couldn't make out where the apricot was - couldn't taste it, couldn't see it.

The pub was empty at 2 p.m. on Halloween Friday. When asked if we could get something to eat, the waitress looked at the owner (?) who said 'No, we stop serving at 2'. The clock in his bar showed 2.06 p.m. whereas both our watches made it 2.02. Never mind, we could just about swallow that, seeing there was... More

I am always a little unsettled when lunch arrives at the table less than three minutes after it was ordered, that was the case here with Sunday lunch. Served on cold plates, the overdone beef and microwaved extras were less than inspiring, although the roast potatoes raised no complaints. Dessert was another mcirowaved offering, warm in parts and stone cold... More

I have been here several times over the years and have always been happy. The food isn't fantastic, but it is of a decent enough quality, and the atmosphere is pretty good. It is a nice traditionally styled place, and certainly worth a visit

We considered there was a good range to select from. Food tasty and well cooked, good sized portions. The cheeses was served at a proper temperature. Beer excellent. Friendly service. It was busy so clearly well used locally. Prices very competitive, so very good value for money

Dropped in there yesterday, had no idea what to expect. Lovely location and atmosphere for a lunchtime. The menu looked reasonable but we went for the daily special. To be honest it was excellent the food was fresh, hot and very filling, plenty of it. I had salmon my wife had a roast , we both had a starter and... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal, promptly served, reasonably priced; extensive menu; helpful staff; pleasant décor and surroundings; convenient location on the A363 N of Bradford on Avon with car park.

The Fox & Hounds was adjacent to the B&B [Midway Place] we stayed at just outside of Bath. Like the B&B, the pub is excellent for both food and drink. Surrounded by lovely old-school decor, staff were helpful and the food top notch. For those with a big pallet - try the hog roast for size!
