You wont find a better English Pub!!

Best food around, welcoming and one of the best pubs in the area! A welcoming feel that is great for both families and couples looking for that romantic setting, cant wait to go back soon.

Went there yesterday with my wife and 7 month old son. There were about 40 people in one group when we got there, but the restaurant didn't suffer from it...there was still privacy in the area we sat and the service didn't slip. All the staff we friendly, polite and the service was quick. We didn't feel like we were... More

We visited today with friends for lunch for the first time, a beautiful pub in a quiet village. We were blessed with the sun so sat outside in the garden. I had the Plough & Stars platter which was beautiful the fig and walnut bread and pear chutney was scrummy and filling. My friend had a very generous portion of... More

We came here for fathers day and I was rather disappointed by the menu. We had a rather bland meat/pita platter to start with. For mains it was a choice of roasts and a poor selection of a la carte, mainly consisting of fish. I chose the pork option and my father had the beef - both were OK. School... More

There should be a grading of "good" between the ratings on this site as Seven Stars is certainly not "average" but on this occasion I wouldnt mark it as "very" because of half a disappointing experience with the food. This is a lovely pub in a pretty village, a great place to escape to on a nice evening. The garden... More

Visited the pub on a Friday night whilst visiting the area. What can I say? Fabulous food, all cooked to perfection (changes made where required to each dish without any hesitation) and great service too. Highly recommend a visit. (Book as it gets busy though!!)

I confess to this being our "local" which we have visited regularly for many years. It has had its ups and downs. Fortunately now that it has transferred to new owners Kate and James (James has been the incumbent chef for a couple of years) the ups are continuing. A few changes to menu and presentation but the same high... More

A great place for Sunday lunch but glad we booked. Lovely, fairly pricey starters (scallops and calamari), roast pork (very generous with great veg on the side - and gravy a real plus point!) - then a zingy cheesecake to finish - but only enough room to share a dessert! Friendly, prompt service and a lovely location. I think will... More

Impromptu mid week lunch - Friendly welcome & a Good choice of ales. We had nice couple of baguettes, although the vegetable crisps promised with it were only standard.. not to worry, wouldn't let that stop us from re-visiting if ever in the area again.
