Recommended by host of B&B in Upper Westwood (see The Westwoods) and was not disappointed. Great food and great beer. Village pub with a real chef. Portions massive! I've not seen fish and chips that size for a long time. I had vegetable curry which was excellent.

Food good quality, archetypal English pub with stone floors, scrubbed wooden tables, friendly staff and dog, complete with typical village locals sitting at the bar putting the world to right. Worth a visit.

So much atmosphere what a lovely place to visit. We were the first in for lunch but it soon started to fill up. The food was very good in deed - we both had the fish and chips and the batter was perfect. Pudding took a bit of choosing as they all sounded very good but we both plumped for... More

Regardless of the fact that we arrived at five to two and the kitchen at The New Inn closes at two our party of three was made to feel very welcome by the cheerful and friendly bar staff. The menu features some good pub classics and some slightly more gourmet choices but we wasted no time in selecting ham eggs... More

A friend suggested we go to the New Inn as we have a meal together every month or two and are always looking for somewhere different to go. Neither of us had been there for some years - long before the current owners took over. It was so good that we went again. I have been twice since - once... More

We visit the New Inn whenever we want a good pub meal because they have never let us down. The menu is not huge because the food is cooked well - especially the fish or fillet steak. The atmosphere is friendly although the real fire needs attention as the last couple of times we visited, the door had to be... More

I have visited the New Inn on at least 5 occasions and I must say that the food is excellent, when I was first invited I thought the usual pub food would be there to greet me, how wrong, the menu is superb, the bucket of mussels (1KG) are second to none, Devils kidneys, not to everyone's taste are simply... The New Inn is tucked away, but has a good sized car park. The interior is larger than it looks, traditionally furnished and cosy. The man and wife team, with a family of staff are welcoming and cheerful. The local ales are top quality(Wadworths) and there is a very good wine list. The food is all cooked freshly from the... We went on a Saturday lunch time on our way to Bradford on Avon, which is just five minutes up the road. We rang before hand to ask if they allow dogs, and they do. The menu is good with an A la carte menu and a specials board although I would say more 'Pub' food than 'Gastro pub' food.... More
