The very best.

This gem of a pub is the very best! The atmosphere is welcoming & warm & the staff are friendly & helpful. The pub itself has rustic charm with log fires & low ceilings & I recommend if you are visiting this pub for the first time try the Sunday roast, it's just amazing, in fact ALL the food is... read more

My friend had to pull out of our weekend away at the last minute and I found myself having to dine alone... The girls could not have been any kinder and looked after me amazingly well, bringing magazines and helpfully serving me quickly. The food was gorgeous -baked Camembert- and it was a cosy, welcoming and traditional little pub on... More

Visited this with my parents. Good food, not overly ambitious in terms of the menu but food was cooked very well. Ribeye was awesome! Well worth a visit as service attentive and food was reasonably priced.

I came here for a quick pre-wedding lunch and drink with a group of friends last weekend. We were all dressed in morning suits along with the condemned man himself. It was the perfect precursor to the main event and manged to calm some fairly frayed nerves. The pub itself is classic old fashioned with roaring log fire. It's also... More

Went in a weekday night and it was packed. Not surprised as my friend who visited before said it was one of the best pubs around. My pasta main was just chicken and chorizo( a common one yet was cooked so amazingly well by the chef). The dessert, Bailey's chocolate pot is a must!

Visited the New Inn with a small group of friends in October '15. Very nice place, warm and comfy. Friendly and welcoming service, picked our table, glass of house red was beautiful but the definite standout was my food. Opted for the fillet steak and couldn't have been happier with it. I've eaten in most of the different steak houses... More

My wife and I visited this pub one Friday evening in September 2015. It was quite busy and we hadn't booked but the very helpful young lady behind the bar said that she'd try to fit us in. The food was exemplary and reasonably priced. The real ales on offer were in tip top condition. Well recommended.
