I had not tried this hostelry before and when some friends came to visit and a group of us wanted an evening meal out we chose the New Inn at Westwood being only 7 miles from home which was convenient We made sure of a table by booking before hand and a good job we did as it was busy... More

Superb food at very reasonable prices. Unpretentious and charming interior and excellent service. The New Inn manages to retain the local country pub atmosphere whilst providing an excellent place to eat

Forced off the allotment by a sudden downpour my wife and I decided to drive the five miles or so to The New Inn for a Saturday lunch. We had eaten here (and reviewed!) only a short while ago and thought it well worth another visit. On entering the pub we received the usual bright and breezy greeting, the barmaid... More

We recently ended up here when looking for a decent Sunday lunch. I was not disappointed! I had the roast beef, of which I got 2 nice chunky slices with a selection of seasonal veg. It was all extremely tasty, in a lovely thick homemade gravy. The pub itself is very attactive and old fashioned, with a large beer garden.... More

Great friendly people, served a good selection of drinks and the food was mouthwatering. We was fortunate enough to meet some of the locals on a Spanish night they did and the locals were very inviting and nice people to talk to.

Recommended by host of B&B in Upper Westwood (see The Westwoods) and was not disappointed. Great food and great beer. Village pub with a real chef. Portions massive! I've not seen fish and chips that size for a long time. I had vegetable curry which was excellent.

Food good quality, archetypal English pub with stone floors, scrubbed wooden tables, friendly staff and dog, complete with typical village locals sitting at the bar putting the world to right. Worth a visit.

So much atmosphere what a lovely place to visit. We were the first in for lunch but it soon started to fill up. The food was very good in deed - we both had the fish and chips and the batter was perfect. Pudding took a bit of choosing as they all sounded very good but we both plumped for... More

Regardless of the fact that we arrived at five to two and the kitchen at The New Inn closes at two our party of three was made to feel very welcome by the cheerful and friendly bar staff. The menu features some good pub classics and some slightly more gourmet choices but we wasted no time in selecting ham eggs... More

A friend suggested we go to the New Inn as we have a meal together every month or two and are always looking for somewhere different to go. Neither of us had been there for some years - long before the current owners took over. It was so good that we went again. I have been twice since - once... More
