We both ordered the fish cakes and salad, which were both lovely. Great pub and nice staff. The best meal we had all weekend.

The best Sunday roast ever, beautifully cooked and served. Friendly efficient staff and reasonable prices. A good varied menu. Very lucky to have this as my local as I have just moved to the area. Will be trying the rest of the menu when friends and family come to visit.

We are lucky to have quite a few good local eating places, but this is far and away the best for food. Relatively small, tucked away in a Wiltshire village with poor parking this is a gastronomic gem. The best Rib Eye steaks and saute potatoes you will find anywhere. Always a good selection on the menu using the best... More

I have dined here on several occasions and am a huge fan of the Woolpack burger, but have never been for Sunday lunch. We booked as a party of eight, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The portions of meat with the roasts were generous and perfectly cooked and the... More

We were looking for a place to eat local to us and came across The Woolpack at Sutton Veny, just outside of Warminster. Received a very warm welcome from all staff and the menu had a good choice, which we feel would have suited many people. Very reasonable prices and food was excellent and presented beautifully. Will definitely return again... More

Had heard good things about the food at the Woolpack so tried it this evening. A very varied menu but could not resist the Creedy Carver duck breast. Without a word of a lie the best I have ever tasted. Unsurprisingly the most expensive choice, but must be experienced. Small selection of desserts but who could resist brioche and butter... More

This is an off the beaten track pub that has got a good reputation for good food. Its always well cooked, full of taste and well presented. The restaurant is small and the menu doesn't change often, just a few added seasonal dishes, so if you went there every week you would run out of choices, but still worth a... More

We popped in on a friday night, for a bite to eat but hadn't booked. The lady behind the bar checked and they were able to accomodate us even though it looked like they were going to have a busy night. The choice of drinks was excellent and I decided to have The Woolpack burger, its always nice when they... More

It's quite a homely little pub. Ended up here in the evening. They serve food until 9 but the lady serving drinks checked and 9:20 I was able to order a starter. The goats cheese and pear was a nice combination, not sure about the hot and cold feel to the food but it was lovely. Would recommend for people... More

We went here with our three kids and two friends. The dining area is well designed with well spaced, large tables and some partitions separating sitting areas. We were greeted and seated immediately on a busy weeknight. Service was friendly and drinks orders taken right away. She neglected to tell the table that menu was only on the blackboard as... More
