Not only was this place an excellent place to stay the night at, but the food provided was outstanding. (Aside from missing breakfast on occasion due to my lazy nature) The food served often makes me think someone from Masterchef is cooking it up in the kitchen around the back. Not only is it... read more

Had a very nice meal here. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. It was mid week so quiet and got a table straight away. I had steak, which was cooked nicely. My husband had Rissotto Balls, he enjoyed them. Not the cheapest meal, but good quality and cooked well.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here, the homemade bread is wonderful, when I asked if I could purchase a loaf, the chef wrapped one up and gave to us for FREE, a nice touch, thoroughly recommend to anyone.

We were looking for somewhere a bit special for a mid week dinner, stumbled across this interesting place - Staff were attentive and the food was great!

We have eaten here regularly over the last few years and on Sunday evening my wife and I visited for dinner, and yet again the food was fantastic. We had the pigs cheek and mackerel for starters with fabulous milk bread and both were great. I ordered extra bread to mop up the gravy. We had two different lamb dishes... More

Our second time dining here and we were just as impressed both times. Stand out dishes included pigs cheek in pancetta with celeriac and truffle, the most melt in the mouth rump steak ever and the pannacotta. Such a shame the place was so quiet, even on a Thursday. The only tiny criticism would be the rosti with the duck... More

Yet another lovely evening meal at the Weymouth arms. They have the menu just right and it's always changing - I stay locally with work and the hotel keeps the same menu for ages. So it's great to visit this wood panelled pub / restaurant. I expect many may not venture inside, as its tucked away and looks nothing from... More

Went there for Sunday lunch. Friendly staff and an excellent meal and they serve Amstel Meal was extremely good value especially compared to some of the village pub restaurants

Came here on Saturday night for a meal with my boyfriend, we both had the pig cheek starter which was very nice, but would have been better if it was a little hotter. I had the duck leg for main which was gorgeous, fell straight off the bone, and the rosti was very good also. My boyfriend had the steak... More

This is a lovely, cosy, traditional, wood panelled inn with a pleasant ambience but sadly we were underwhelmed by the food. The menu is imaginative & a notch or two up on standard pub grub for sure but given the chefs pedigree & the great reviews we were disappointed with our meals. They were ok, but no more then that....
