Superb lunch & friendly staff

We called here returning from Thruxton where my friend's grandson aged 13 had been having a driving lesson in a Porsche Cayman. So I decided to treat them to a good meal on the way home. Myself, my husband, my two small boys and our dog enjoyed a really lovely Sunday lunch here today. Both the children and the dog were made to feel very welcome and the roasts we ordered ( beef and lamb, and also prepared as kids portions with free ice cream) were absolutely delicious...as was the side of cauliflower cheese ( a... Returning from a shopping trip to Salisibury we decided to drop into an old Wiltshire Inn we had often read about but never tried. Great decision! The Prince Leopold is a real gem; great selection of beers and wines, excellent service and absolutely superb food, what else could you want. Despite its obvious quality there was nothing pretentious about this... More

There is a whiff of complacency at the Prince Leopold which, if confirmed, could threaten its local reputation. There is a friendly welcome but the standard of the food has slipped and it is also over-priced. Ham Egg and Chips is a Wiltshire classic yet the pub had run of eggs. On our recent visit, the staff were overwhelmed and... More

My three children treated me to mothers day lunch here yesterday. Faultless, just faultless. Not a single complaint. Can't wait to go back. Thank you John for paying!

Stopped in here on the way back from Center Parcs at Longleat. Landlady was very welcoming and sorted out a table for us all with a high chair for the baby and a "higher" kids chair for my son. Lovely selection of food for lunch at a great range of prices. Staff couldn't have been more helpful when asked for... More

We were held up in traffic and saw the sign for this lovely restaurant. Great welcome and lovely food. Beautiful surrounding too. Worth a visit!

This is a lovely venue with great views, great food and friendly service. We have been twice as a family last year (10 of us) and have left happy with our evening.

My colleague and I battled through the road works and diversions to have lunch here today. I am so glad that we did, what a treat. Excellent service, excellent quality food at a great price. The restaurant is lovely and I would encourage everyone to brave the roadworks and visit - it is definitely worth it. We will be driving... More

Lovely warm service Attentive with out being in your face . Food excellent ingredients best quality . Roast beef done to perfection . The puddings are too tempting to ignore which I didn't ! Staff knowledgable on foods and drink plus some interesting and high end brands of alcohol but prices were acceptable Really difficult to find fault
