Great B&B

Visiting the area for an old friends birthday party, found this place on Google. Service was extremely pleasant, food was excellent and was a proper little village pub, one that needs to be used or lost!!

Two of us had a traditional Sunday lunch here yesterday, probably the best we have had for years. Not the cheapest meal on the menu, but worth every penny! The stripsirloin beef was incredibly tender and tasty, cooked to our individual specifications (one rare, one medium-to-well-done). We asked for gluten-free gravy, which was no problem. The beef was served with... More

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch on the spur of the moment will driving along the A36. After being welcomed at the bar we were sent to the restaurant (food appeared to be served at the bar area too though). We were asked quite abuptly if we had a reservation (which we did not) then got told they would... More

The owners do their best to make you feel at home. Good, simple food. Good beers. Simple rooms, small bathroom inc. Toilet I had a good sleep!

Went to the prince leopold for dinner in the evening. Firstly the food was really nice and good quality. I just felt it was so expensive hence the 3 stars. It was £21 for a sirloin steak (£3 extra for a steak sauce) and £15 for fish and chips. I just felt that although the food was tasty the price... More

This is a lovely pub in a beautiful situation. A warm welcome, linen napkins, and a burger cooked exactly as we wanted it So glad the recent rain has had no effect-will certainly be back and particularly in Spring and Summer this will the place to go.

Having read previous reviews for this restaurant I booked a table with some confidence that we would be enjoying a lovely lunch on New Year's Day. How disappointed we all were! Firstly, the booking I made the day before had been overlooked and we arrived to find that we didn't have a table reserved. Fortunately the restaurant wasn't full and... More

Went to the Leo after spotting it on Trip Advisor and was pleased we did. The staff were a little busy (I think someone might have called in sick?) but they did warn us that we might have to wait for our food but as we were in no rush it wasn't a problem. All of the food we ordered... More

A very nice place with an attractive menu, the food was excellent and the host very welcoming. Good value for money. My only negative is that a young man was serving that night, maybe helping out at a busy time, that had apparently had no training and knew neither which table was which or what food was on the plates... A lovely restaurant set in a rural location. A little hard to find and some difficulty parking, but we enjoyed a wonderful meal in lovely surroundings. The owner was very pleasant and she was very attentive.
