Super, definitely the best food we've had in years!

The food was tantalising, service was excellent, and the owners are as delightful as the menu! Limavady's definitely got a gem here!

This restaurant has received several accolades which raised expectations. However, the AA rating was not noticeable - entrance was shabby not chic; restaurant was 70s not 2010; service friendly not first rate; food bland not inspiring; prices high not reasonable.

Having eaten here 3 or 4 times, the end result is always total satisfaction, certainly on a par with the best that Belfast can offer. Duck Rillettes (pate) and crab cakes were full of flavour and as fresh as could be. The rabbit and seafood thermidor were mouth wateringly tasty, particularly the fish in the thermidor which was cooked to... More

Have been visiting Limavady are for over 10 years and we have tried to get a booking for The Lime tree on several occasions all booked up of course. We visited it on 27th July 2010. We were quite excited as we had heard such wonderful reports of the restaurant. My husband had garlic mushrooms for starter and I had... More

We came here for our anniversary after getting a local recommendation and from trip advisor reviews. On arrival we liked the ambience of the place, it was intimate yet private. Food was great, seafood thermidor was fresh and my osso bucco was tender beyond belief. A good wine list, not too pricey as well. Afterwards we spent time chatting to... More

Having eaten in many, many restaurants in Northern Ireland, in my opinion this is one of the best, and we've gone all the way from Belfast to Limavady for a special occasion just to eat here. The dining room is small but cosy. The decor is an eclectic mix of old-fashioned and modern. Service is very efficient, despite there usually... More

The husband and wife team in this intimate restaurant work wonders. Stanley behind the scenes conjuring up a fantastic and diverse menu ( with a real emphasis on great fish dishes) and Maria out front with her team, making sure everyone feels welcome and offering an attentive service. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The Early Bird Menu is fantastic,... More

I've eaten at a fair few places around the world but for food and wine the Lime Tree is extremely difficult to beat! It's tucked away in a small market town very quietly doing good service with its husband and wife team. The place is friendly, not too big and the food is extremely well priced. (I sound like one...
