The Holly Bush, Alcester opened under new management on 2nd March 2015. A sister pub of local gems the Fleece Inn, Bretforton and The Cardinals Hat, Worcester the Holly Bush hopes to resume as the community's favourite watering hole. We offer quality real ales from local breweries, premium lagers and a fantastic range of locally sourced English Tapas. During the colder months the log burners and open fires offer welcome respite from the chill and in the summer the garden and terrace provide the perfect sun trap.

It's Saturday afternoon and I'm halfway through my second pint of beer having just eaten a beautiful home made turkey and ham pie with mustard mash and kale (with plenty of gravy) I want to lie down and sleep in this garden. Alcester is unusually busy today and this is an oasis of peace. The pigeons are cooing and I'm... More

Fathers day treat. Didnt book until late but managed to fit us in and thank you for doing so it was well worth it. Beetroot salmon to start was rossette standard and chicken kiev made with wild garlic subtle yet flavoursome. Desserts were well presented and tasty and rarely do we four go and not complain about anything when dining... More

I went for an afternoon meal with my family and after waiting for an hour the food came out and the chips were soggy the fish was greasy. Other members of my family had pork which was just fat, roast potatoes were extremely hard, veg cold. We all sent our meals back and i felt sorry for the waitress as... More

lovely friendly atmosphere especially since it had just recently be taken over. Food brilliant and prompt. There were so many people around that they ran out of food at one point but were happy to provide crockery and cutlery for folk to bring in a takeaway. Where else would you find that! Brilliant staff!

Visited the holly bush today 21st June 2015, for a Father's Day meal 5 adults one child. Booked a table for 2.30pm we were seated at 3pm which we did not mind as being Father's Day expected it to be busy. Then waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive which again we did not particularly mind, as we understood... More

As other reviewers have said it is an interestingly quaint pub. The staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The surroundings did not prepare us for the new chef's menu. We had the selection plate as a starter between the four of us; all homemade - bread, chutney, ham hock, beetroot cured salmon and more. I then... More

We have visited the Holly Bush regularly since the new management team took over, and it goes from strength to strength. The recent arrival of the new chef has taken it to a new level, with outstanding ingredients prepared and presented to a very high standard. We had three delicious courses, each memorable. My highlight was the beetroot cured Scottish... More
