The Holly Bush, Alcester opened under new management on 2nd March 2015. A sister pub of local gems the Fleece Inn, Bretforton and The Cardinals Hat, Worcester the Holly Bush hopes to resume as the community's favourite watering hole. We offer quality real ales from local breweries, premium lagers and a fantastic range of locally sourced English Cuisine. During the colder months the log burners and open fires offer welcome respite from the chill and in the summer the garden and terrace provide the perfect sun trap.

Lovely place for a pint

As yet I have not eaten here but plan to in the future as the food looked good. This is a Tardis (bigger on the inside) sort of place as there are a variety of rooms and a garden to choose from to take a seat. There is a good selection of real ales and ciders to pick from. FYI... read more

Always a pleasure to drop into the Holly Bush, the beer is always on form with a regular change of guest ales.

Stayed locally as visiting Stratford upon Avon and wanted a quiet meal. Researched local pub's and the Holly Bush seemed to have the most interesting and very different menu, so I called and booked. We expected something a little different but to the normal pub standard - how wrong I was. Staff very welcoming. Six Real Ales on offer and... More

Very reasonable meal in a pub with a decent range of choices and slightly different takes on the usual pub fare. Service was very prompt and there was not a long wait for the meal although it was individually cooked, although the pub was not busy so it may be different at busy times. Parking is free just outside but... More

Just had Sunday lunch with the family and it was wonderful. Both the quality and quantity of food was excellent. Don't know how the chef makes the gravy, but would love the recipe. We were really well looked after by all of the staff who were all very polite and certainly cared about you enjoying your visit. The pub has... More

Just had a memorable meal - probably the best fresh chips and rump streak I can remember and the wife had the chicken which was equally as impressive. New chef is also show casing his talents with some special desserts. A lot more than your average pub grub at the Holly Bush.

An excelllent lunch, eaten outside in the quiet garden. The fish was perfectly cooked as was the lambs liver. Special touches were the locally sourced, heritage vegetables. The waitress was well versed on the menu and keen to promote the skills of the chef, which was justified. The pimms surprise dessert was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Excellent value for... More

Six of us visited for Sunday lunch and we all had nothing but praise for our meals. This is a great building to visit and is a real hive inside; there are maybe half a dozen small rooms within the place. We had one room to ourselves. The staff were chatty and helpful. There is a good selection of beers... More

This ancient pub has been carefully renovated and is a popular spot for locals. I ordered 2 items on the menu that were gluten-free: a beet-infused salmon appetizer and the cheese board with chutney. Both items were good, but I was happily surprised to see the huge chunk of g-f crusty bread included with the cheese board. It was absolutely... More
