I recently lead a walking party and gave the Holly Bush only a few hours notice of lunch for 16. It appeared there was only one lady in the kitchen and she warned us that there would be a delay. Well, there was not really a long wait and the food was splendid. So fresh, tasty, beautifully presented and very... More

We asked for a quiet table and it was! Both the menu and specials board had a good selection. We were all very happy with our meals, which were nicely presented. The waitress (could have been the landlady) was very attentive and friendly. Service was a tad slow but they were extremely busy. The bill was very reasonable, will definitely... More

We popped into the Holly Bush early Sunday afternoon and had a lovely pub lunch, my partner had cod and chips and I had the steak pudding. Was just the ticket on a cold, grey and wet afternoon. Pub was old with lit fires and a lovely dining area if needed. Deffo go again as just moving into the area!... More

We went here for a Surprise Birthday party. Unfortunately there seemed to be one problem after another and it started a week before the party the landlady wanted to know what we all wanted to eat before hand yet she was uncontactable to get a menu from despite the organiser of the party trying, leaving voice mails, sending emails etc..... This pub never fails, a good range of real ales, attractive rear garden for fine weather, a choice of several drinking/ dining areas, and the food is always good. Today we had the 'Diamond' menu (available only to over 60s, lucky us!) - 1 course for £5, 2 courses for £7.50, or 3 courses for £10. We chose the 3... More

Visited with friends recently for Sunday lunch. We all opted for traditional Sunday lunch fare and were not disappointed. The meal consisted of beautifully cooked beef, fabulous Yorkshire puddings, crisp and fluffy roasties plus a delicious array of vegetables including a separate dish of cauliflower cheese. The gravy tasted fantastic and was something for home gravy makers to aspire to!... More

A very nice pub indeed. Excellent beers, food & staff. Atmosphere great, very busy so get there early. Just wish the locals wouldn't stand in doorways to obstruct your access - a minor problem.

Party of nine for dinner. They had run out of haddock for the fish and chips, but did find some cod for the lady from Canada. Everyone was very happy with their food; I can recommend the confit duck with barley risotto.

Arriving late and hungry in Alcester we dived into this pub and found that they were still serving food. The bar food was very good value. Even though there was confusion over what my wife ordered a replacement meal was provided without any question and any suggestion that we were to blame. Good sized portions, well presented and as said... More
