Lovely cottage garden

Fantastic drinking hole for dog walkers - lovely cottage garden with plenty of outdoor seating in a friendly environment. Bar staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Just had Sunday lunch with the family and it was wonderful. Both the quality and quantity of food was excellent. Don't know how the chef makes the gravy, but would love the recipe. We were really well looked after by all of the staff who were all very polite and certainly cared about you enjoying your visit. The pub has... More

Just had a memorable meal - probably the best fresh chips and rump streak I can remember and the wife had the chicken which was equally as impressive. New chef is also show casing his talents with some special desserts. A lot more than your average pub grub at the Holly Bush.

An excelllent lunch, eaten outside in the quiet garden. The fish was perfectly cooked as was the lambs liver. Special touches were the locally sourced, heritage vegetables. The waitress was well versed on the menu and keen to promote the skills of the chef, which was justified. The pimms surprise dessert was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Excellent value for... More

Six of us visited for Sunday lunch and we all had nothing but praise for our meals. This is a great building to visit and is a real hive inside; there are maybe half a dozen small rooms within the place. We had one room to ourselves. The staff were chatty and helpful. There is a good selection of beers... More

This ancient pub has been carefully renovated and is a popular spot for locals. I ordered 2 items on the menu that were gluten-free: a beet-infused salmon appetizer and the cheese board with chutney. Both items were good, but I was happily surprised to see the huge chunk of g-f crusty bread included with the cheese board. It was absolutely... More

It's Saturday afternoon and I'm halfway through my second pint of beer having just eaten a beautiful home made turkey and ham pie with mustard mash and kale (with plenty of gravy) I want to lie down and sleep in this garden. Alcester is unusually busy today and this is an oasis of peace. The pigeons are cooing and I'm... More

Fathers day treat. Didnt book until late but managed to fit us in and thank you for doing so it was well worth it. Beetroot salmon to start was rossette standard and chicken kiev made with wild garlic subtle yet flavoursome. Desserts were well presented and tasty and rarely do we four go and not complain about anything when dining... More
