The breads, tapenade olives etc. to start were a tasty surprise and free of charge. The starter of asparagus, poached egg, parma ham very high standard. The lamb chump main was ok, could have been served pink instead of cooked through, the sauce was a little bland. The monk fish main was disappointing, it lacked the Indian garnishes advertised on... You can't fault this building on its beautiful location, it's so tranquil with the mill pond and greenery around. However you do wonder on arrival why the place is near on empty for a Saturday evening. Well firstly on ordering drinks at the bar it's seems that to serve the man his drink before the lady is acceptable; picky maybe... More

Took my mum for lunch today, this was the best meal I have had in ages, the menu is not large but I had difficulty choosing because all dishes were so appealing and have been sourced carefully using local fresh produce and cooked and presented with obvious passion. I could not find any fault and am amazed they have not... More

A beautiful setting even on a grey rainy day. Nicely appointed restaurant overlooking the mill pond and race. We had drinks in the bar followed by an excellent two course meal. We were well but discreetly looked after by the staff. Starters were ragged duck leg surmounted by a duck egg. Well flavoured and very tasty. Mains were steak, hand... More

Stayed one night and will be back again, very welcoming and a great location. Dinner was very very good. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had not visited this restaurant for a number of years but decided to take some freinds in order for them to celebrate a birthday. We are so glad that we did. The setting remained as lovely as ever but the food had improved immeasurably. The choices on the menu were a lot less than previously, but this meant that... More

Locally sourced delicious food. Great for Sunday lunch but do book a window table. We too booked for a family occasion and Simon was fairly casual about everything but on the day he came up trumps. If you want what 's best that week you cannot decide months in advance - so trust the chef!

Just had a great Sunday lunch, lovely setting, and a warm welcome. Lovely starters, I had baked button mushrooms in a cheese and garlic sauce, and my Father had a cured Salmon starter. We both opted for roast Beef & Warwickshire puddings, which was excellent, very tender, great roast potatoes and lovely selection of vegetables! Had no room left for... More

A table for two in the area looking over the mill pond on a roasting hot Thursday, was idyllic. An amazing venue and only ourselves and another couple were eating. The restaurant is large and entry into the mill has an invitingly antique ambience, with squashy sofas and made-up log fires. There is loads of space to park outside. Reservations... More

We wanted to book somewhere special for a large meal for family and friends for a joint 50th birthday for my husband and I. We decided to choose the Arrow Mill as it was local to us and in such a beautiful setting. We visited, met Simon the owner, booked the date, paid our deposit and were given a selection... More
